My max was 525lbs on 1RM. I successfully pulled once, twice, then my ego told me to try a third time for a video. I felt 2 pops. Lol. And i knew that was it. Bye bye lower back.
*
Could u move after the 2 pops? or did u had to be carried out of the gym?
bummer man. were u wearing a belt back then?
not bad recovery from injury, to be able to still pull about 80% of last max for that many reps after surgery.

I can't fit into jeans anymore, plus the trend now is the fitting type of cutting for both jeans and shorts... which makes it all the more tougher, gosh. I think my mom would be pissed if I told her I needed tailor made shorts.
*
Shorts usually not slim fit isnt it. should be no prob. the main prob shd be pants.
seed/padini likes to have slim fit slacks so they usually dont fit.
usually for bigger thigh space, u need pants that have pleats as they have smaller waists and bigger space at thighs.
but personally pleats are not to my liking.
so i either tailor make pants, find suitable brands out there.
so far the only one i found to fit is Savile Row Company. limited flat front pants that can still seem to fit for now.
of course, cant fit as well as tailored pants but its ok for everyday work pants.

As for jeans, fortunately i can still wear them for now. but none of that slim fit crap. only straight/relaxed cuts
having trouble stuffing stuff into my pockets tho...wallet and phone an keys tend to stick out of the pants shape.

hye i`m 14 yrs old , has man boob and weight 60++
i need u advice & tips
so what can i do to cut of my weight & make man boob doesn appear to obvious like thin normal teenage chest
also i using a wrist/ankle weight started from yesterday what can it do to my wrist?
shud i wearing it at night & ketatkan ?
also can give tip to slim down glutes a.ka butt or make it muscular
can give some advice
aso i lifting a dumbell 4 kg on right arm & 2.5 kg on other arm
so what time does it help to grow big bicep
p/s dumbell exercise started at 8/2010 or 7/2010 dun remebe
*
cut weight = eat less, train more

it wont do anything to your wrist but other parts that are moving about.
wear at night? u mean when u sleep? its poitnless. the idea of weights is to MOVE them, not be around them.
dont read too much dragon ball

it helps to grow after youre done training, thats if all other requirements of protein and energy are suffcient.

questions:

squat: its my 1st day of doing squats with a barbell and with back is straight the whole time... but after each set i feel my lower back worked as well, is this normal or i've did it with bad  form?

clean: 1st day doing this also, i felt my wrist is being stressed when the bar is on my shoulder. Sumtimes after the pull i will loose balance forcing me to take a step forward. Ways to avoid this?
*
Squats: yes, normal for back to feel worked. the back is acting as a stabilizer msucle when the weight is on your back. so it will get worked somewhat

clean: no idea mate.

im following a keto diet for a few weex and calorie intake is somewhere between 2000-2500kcal
protein intake is 1.5g per bodyweight
and carb is kept at bare minimum arnd 0-40g
fat is high
*
I think what Kmaru was trying to say is total amount of calories consumed a day would determine if u'd get fatter or not.. not just the protein.
meaning 200g protein but total cals is 2000 cals
then 100g protein but total cals is 2000 cals
still the same, so u wont get fat (assuming total calorie output is the same on both days)

I realised that the amount of chicken breast i've been eating for the past 9 months for my post workout is 400-500g which is around 150g of protein?

I had it all in 1 go usually, is it recommended? Since we wont be able to absorb that much protein at 1 go. I wouldnt wan the protein to go waste. any advice?
*
i was also wondering, iirc, the body takes est. 6 hrs to digest chicken right? (or did i remember wrong?)
so if "one sitting" like that is 150g of chicken which is absorbed within 6 hrs... its still fine isnt it? since its only about 25g per hour or it doesnt work like that? tongue.gif

hi all the sifus

is it okay if i dont take those protein supplement ?
i just wanna get a lean body, not too much of body building.
will my progress be slow if i dont take?
*
Protein helps in recovery. so u will recover slower and your body wont have sufficient nutrients to recover.
so yeah, your progress will be slow.
but if u say want lean body without ANY muscle mass gains... then you dont need protein, that means u will look like a skinny stick (not like bruce lee who actually does have muscle mass)

not dietin...

more like the routine they do...
how much they run etc...

bro, each persons metabolism is different. so cant really tell how much cardio one does. if high metabolism like ectos, then cardio less, if low metabolism like endo, then need to cardio more and stuff like that.
to find the right balance for yourself, you need to diet and cardio, and check waist measurement, bf%, weight and mirror every 1-2 weeks to see if got progress or not.
if got progress means continue, no progress means add more cardio/ eat less carbs.
the best person to advice u is urself smile.gif try to understand ur body more

energy boost? why would u feel energy boost on keto? keto is about 0 carbs. i remember Kmaru metion about feeling very lethargic and slow when on keto cos body and brains out of glucose.
but i wouldnt really know tho, since i never really tried it myself.

and tabata almost caused accident sebab the hugely deep and high clutch was taking its toll on my legs

today buat tabata on chest and back day
hahahahaha
*
bro, how r u doign tabatas? why squat then leg ext then leg curl then... etc..
then ur chest and back also do tabata style?

its meant to be like super short cardio HIIT style...
ur regular body part trainings arent meant to be done VIA tabata method.

add on:
oh yeah, i forgot to mention that i did do it during my last years cutting cycle. very convinient and effective.

how much does the blue weights weigh anyways?

that should be FF gym... blue plates are 20kgs smile.gif
in that vid, i see he has 2x 20kg on each side... + some smaller black plates... so he was squatting around 100-110kgs in that vid.

why asking this on the bodybuilding section? as far as i know, you cant change your name. so u need to create a new account if u want a different name.

QUOTE(ghoss @ May 4 2011, 08:20 AM)
Thank god my arms is better now , didn't know first time intense training will have such a after exercise effect sweat.gif
*
Yeah, like janson said, if ure new, gonna take longer to recover. but if ure not new, then it shd be recovery and rest issue. meaning u didnt take sufficient nutrition to recover and/or didnt rest enough.
if got enough sleep at right times, then shd be nutrition. more protein and carbs will assist in muscular recovery. if u dont get enough of this, obviously it would take a longer time to recover because the body does not have the necessry materials and energy to recover.

On a seperate note:
found a vid of mark ripptoe
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mC5-g1Ugmgc
his physique isnt as great as i was expecting....
where as i was looking up Dante Trudel's DC training methods... and saw Dante himself looking like a monster!

I know what u mean dude. when u eat some sinful carbs, suddenly the body just craves for more... @_@
hehehe but since ure bulking, shd be alright to eat those stuff as long as daily calories in check.

me, feeling kinda lazy and sloppy lately. almost fall off the wagon.
i started doing my annual cutting about 4 weeks back. a friend of mine told me if i could lean down, he might get me a one time modelling gig for some extra cash. so might as well go and cut... so far is ok ler. need to lean out more. kinda fattish now... tongue.gif

Guys, i started to workout last 2 weeks with simple 30mins jog and lifting dumbell and chest press..

im not sure why but everytime after the job i tend to feel nausea and have blur vision..

izit becoz of my meal?

morning: hl milk and wholemeal bread
afternoon: steam chicken breast and brown rice
after workout, i will drink whey protien.
night time i won eat anymore accept lots of fruits..

please advice.
*
your carbs seems very little. not sure what ur goals are. but my guess for nausea and blur vision cld be shortage of sugar in ur bloodstream... means not enough carbs before training. but, i'm no pro/doctor. so thats just some random guy on the internet's 2 cents guess.

and like kurt said, fruits shd be eaten in the morning. fruits contains fruit sugar (fructose) which is not something u want in ur system at night. eat those in the morning and the brown rice and stuff at night.
