I went to tmpoint yesterday... i wanted to cancel my rm88 streamyx and telephone because I don't use them a lot since i have subscribed to rm98 celcom advance package.
but, the guy offered (and persuaded) me the RM38 package (rm12 unlimited 384k internet + rm 26 telephone ) since the speed is higher than my celcom when i have used up my 5GB limit in which the speed will go to 128k only. but, no netbooks coz i can cancel anytime if want to. if you take the netbook, then you are under contract. he said tm will offer to those who are walk-in with good payment history. so i accepted the offer since i only use internet to check email, read news, listen to online radio, and tackle girls on facebook (just joking I never my bills late for my phone, streamyx, celcom 3g, celcom telephone and electricity because i use autobilling via my credit card. the guy also looked in the computer my payment history and packages that i have been used in the computer in front of me. You don't ask for the package, TM will offer you. If you ask, I'm sure they will tell you --- offer finish loh... one more thing... don't show any aggression at all... just be polite, smile and tell them that you don't use internet a lot... if you say "streamyx is slow, no good, always dc", I'm sure they will never offer you the package. QUOTE(budakcomel @ Nov 16 2010, 03:34 PM) but, the guy offered (and persuaded) me the RM38 package (rm12 unlimited 384k internet + rm 26 telephone ) If they can offer 384 for RM38, this means they are making super profits when they charge the regular RM60 for 384Kbps?Always suspected that. Now we all know. |

Not sure of budakcomel but I went to get streamyx, and the 1Malaysia and the student package for the RM38 ended in October. Fella is my friend who promoted me the package 2 months ago (the tm counter do not promote this thing, u know if u know).

Same pattern here, last week I just cancel Streamyx Biz line 1MB (RM148.00). Received a call yesterday from what so called "TM Consultant" offer me 1MB SOHO package with RM99/month. RM11 cheaper than 1MB Homeline blockbuster promo.

You mean the total bill that we need to pay will be just RM38? How is your experience so far? Any quota limit? |

This package suits those who just want to check non HTML plain emails and surf text based sites before sleep.
Seriously, 384kbps dial up fixed line still exist? Only in Malaysia among SEA countries? I know we can do better than this. It's like the bare minimum speed for today. Why not mobile telcos give after quota speeds of 384kbps after people deplete their high speed quotas? 384kbps is nothing nowadays comparing with 4G speeds.
