not sure when the launching but the nokia centre promise to give my n8 on between 16-17 oct... it's another 5 days... yeehaaaa... :-)

To be frank, an N8 with symbian~3 aka improve/polish version of symbian v5 would be overprice if RRP above RM1800.00

to be frank price wise as long below 2k is ok with all the demands n everything.
what lingering on me mind rite now is the overall smothness of the ui. as i still havent got to play it. last time i sez i saw 1 shop got demo, turn out its customer own set from singapopo shop got none. kinda wierd

not sure if this has been posted before, but for those that want to test the N8, or just to have a look at the changes in S^3 without physically needing to handle the phone, you can use the phones available in Forum Nokia's Remote Device Access (RDA).

RDA allows you to connect to a Nokia phone of your choice, and launches a Java window to connect to the phone, live. You can call into the phone, in case you think it's an emulated one

Agree. In US where Nokia phone tends to be expensive it costs USD $550 after VAT and tax. That is RM 1760. So, if in malaysia more than 1/8 k then it is either BolehLand taxing or the shop retailer "taxing" us (to rush n buy early) though it wont happen to official nokia outlets, juz normal retailers.

I think some retailer taking order for 2.29k becos they have no idea the approximate price of the phone. The see the eRing magazine, whoa, so nice specs, muz be 2k+. All retarded one. When i went to ask retailer to help me order once N8 is out on 30th September, he ask, huh? N8? what izit? Got N8 meh? After he check the magazine then he first time see wat is N8. He refused ti speculate/predict the price though, he just took down my details.

Why not, authorised set not yet launch. If authorised set is launched, usually the AP price will go below authorised set pricing.

eh guys yesterday while i was at digital mall, i surveyed this phone shop same level as c-zone i think, the price they selling for pre-order N8 is 1699. I forgotten to ask ori or AP.

Yup. My mum using Nokia C5. Last time when she buy the shop seller says AP RM 580, Ori 650. So she buy ori la. WTH, difference RM 70 only. For N8 ori and AP i think difference RM 200 only.
