That is also good idea... 9700 now are cheap... But try not to attached to Data Package first, who knows 9780 is cheaper then you are attached to Telco you can't sign up if 9780 got better package...

Is global launching just in USA and Canada itself?? Normally after annouced they will launch it first before bringing in to Asian Market...

If you get Bold 9700+BIS Plan then you are tight yourself with contract, min 12/24 month and you cant switch BlackBerry or upgrade till your contract expire, if you breach your contract then you will need to pay penalty fees...
About the service I always can say it depends on the area you are using your BlackBerry on BIS... |

But not the BlackBerry you bought from Telco... That's what I mean, but of course we can switch BlackBerry device anytime we want as long we still using the same line and BIS Package...
