It would be Stella McCartney for it's rose scent or Anna Sui's secret wish(citrus scent). Vera Wang is nice too.

I don't have a preference for any parfums, I used to work with an international fragrance company, had used almost all available old and new, as long as the smell is not choking.

With perfumes I try to find one which I consider perfect for me, then wear that nearly all the time. My signature fragrance used to be Anna Sui - Sui Dreams, but the scent doesn't last long.
I recently found Marc Jacobs Lola, I absolutely love it! I know it will be my signature scent for the next few years at least.
I LOVE vanilla based scents!

i rarely use perfumes until i met TOMMY GIRL by tommy hilfiger.
i used it for 7 years already & don't hv any interest to switch to others although i love to visit perfume shops & smell the new ones in the market.

my friends agree that it is 'my' scent & it suits my personality pretty well.
they'll notice if i wore another perfume. =P

i guess i'm a loyal consumer. once i like something i'll stick to it hehe

Estee Lauder pleasures . Since form 1. Altho it only lasts for awhile. It's still my fav wink.gif I love the sexy and Girly smell in it smile.gif Cartier delicious little too strong. I also have customed perfumes from my trip to Italy . Alittle expensive and very unusual kind of smells but very long lasting and it gives an very arrogant touch in you

I'm using YSL's Parisienne and it has a really sweet lingering scent.

Also I'm using the bodyshop's body mist in Vanilla. It's lighter and perfect for those who like vanilla scents.

I used to love Escada's Sunset Heat but im not sure if they sell it anymore... Hmm...

The Dreamer by Versace. Love everything about it. The name, the box, the bottle, the heavenly scent. Been wearing it since 1998 and have no intentions of changing.

For me its BURBERRY Sport biggrin.gif

The smell isn't too strong, It's just exactly how I want..

I also use Elie Saab for girls outing, formal outfit, or any special occasion because it's just smell more feminism and soft, not as sporty as the Burberry..

The world of perfumes is interesting and yet confusing. Quite often many people mix EDT with perfumes and perfumes with parfums. EDT has the lowest content and perfumes have a better concentration.EDT lasts 2-3 hours and perfumes last 6-8 hours. Parfums then are the best with higher concentrations. The other drama is the price and packaging. Most often people "ignorantly" pay a fortune for the EDT, thinking they are getting the best. The other deception is Brands and Names that seem to have an elusive factor. I am a perfumes consultant and I will say that there is no such thing as "the ideal". On request I will bring you what I have from Le Reve Australia. Our HQ is in Shah Alam. You can have a 30-40 minutes discovery session at hoe or office............. and be surprised by the price, quality, service and the variety of fragrances. Call 016-3712762 for K Thiruselvam.

I kinda want to get an opinion on what perfume I should get. I NEVER, EVER used a perfume before. My bf and friends always ask if I do but that's actually my hair shampoo that I've been using since I was 8... so I guess the smell stuck at my hair now.

Uh the thing is whenever I try to buy a perfume, I can't stand the smell. It smell so HEAVY to me. I'm not sure if it's because I'm smelling it right from the bottle but I just can't stand it.

I personally HATE sweet scented stuff so sweet perfume isn't for me. I prefer it a little 'sourish?' then one of my friend asked me to use a toilet perfume instead since it's lemon / lime. But no not so sour! Jeez why would I wanna smell like a toilet...

Because my bf is coming back next week after being apart for like 5 or 6 months? I kinda wanna look and smell good in front of him... so yeah I wanna get a perfume sad.gif (Is it even necessary to get a perfume to smell good?)

by sour i think u mean fruity smells? it would be easy to find a perfume for you then, as most perfumes in the market have floral fruity smell biggrin.gif
maybe you can try dkny perfumes, celebrity perfumes like beyonce etc, or maybe just a body mist from victoria's secret if you have a tight budget.

yes yes nod.gif i'll go and check it out then laugh.gif

I didn't dare to like go to stores and ask for opinion from the sales girls because (obviously they gonna try their best to sell off their products) and I'm one of those people that didn't dare to say no when people keep pushing me to buy something doh.gif

Is there any 'rose' scented perfume that's not heavy? I kinda like rose too blush.gif

For rose-scented perfumes, I love Stella by Stella McCartney wub.gif
dont know if it will smell heavy to you, I like it because it smells like beautiful roses. many other rose perfumes have that strong alcoholic smell which give me headaches such as Rose The One by Dolce&Gabbana sweat.gif
it's hard to find though, can only buy online I guess. maybe you can try bvlgari rose perfume.

btw for fruity perfume, u can also try dior addict 2, the pink bottle, quite popular among girls smile.gif

DKNY Apple's decent too.

Or if you can bite the bullet, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle definitely rocks.

Personal preferences, no doubt but it smells decent to me.

I'm a hoarder. I get things when i see its cheap and if its nice.

Which explains why I might have tonnes of perfume sitting around 1 corner before being given away as a gift.

Besides, it's important to know what perfume or whatever things that females might like. It helps a lot in dealing with life laugh.gif

Perfumes are quite easy la, take a hike to Isetan at KLCC, go sniff everyone available before buying. So hard meh?

Won't say it's wrong to use baby shampoo and etc. I know some people who liked it. laugh.gif

My suggestion, is for you to try the perfumes out 1st, then only start listing down the ones you really want to use and the one which he might like a lot at the end of the day.

Err..

Walk around those area, usually got a lot of people entertain you laugh.gif

Well, it depends also. Some perfumes are stronger when you spray it on, but wears off very fast. Besides, there are ways to make one perfume not smelling so, err strong. Avoid spray some area or spray in an extra small quantity to prevent it from being too strong is possible too.

What is your limit on strong smelling perfume? If you know what types you don't like, maybe some of us can narrow down the list for you laugh.gif

My current favourite is Lancôme' Tresor midnight rose. My preference changes according to occasion and mood.

I think the 'best' perfume is very subjective. The best one for you is one that makes you feel attractive and confident smile.gif

It depends very much on what your friend fancies. Perfumes aren't really a good gift unless you know what she likes and dislikes.

Budget around RM150-300 for a bottle of perfume. Go to places like Sephora or Sasa to have a look at what they have available.

This is quite easily available.
Any departmental store should have them. Sasa, Sephora also have a range of perfumes to choose from.

I usually get mine from duty frees though.

Most retail store carries this - Eg : Midvalley and so forth.

But if you want it at a slighter lower price and delivered straight to your hands, try dropping this dude a PM.

Marver Please help the above guy.

As usual, state your budget tongue.gif

What type of fragrance you think she likes? Fresh? Long lasting? Something casual?

Different answer will yield difference recommendation tongue.gif

Thanks!

Budget would be in the range of rm300-400.

1. Lanvin - ME
2. Jo Malone - English pear and freesia

I bought the Lanvin one for her when we were looking for perfumes together. She likes it.

And she bought the Jo Malone herself.

I do not really know how to describe lol sorry. I would say something that smells nice and sexy rclxub.gif a little flower-ish scent perhaps?

Long lasting would be good.

Thanks!

Flowers eh?

Tom Ford Black Orchid / White Patchouli would be my choice of poison tongue.gif

Or you can get Ms. Dior Blooming banquet or Chanel Chance. Those are pretty "flowerish" and I have those bottles on my desk lol.

Are they very "flowerish"? Lol. I would prefer something with just slight "flowerish" scent haha. Not too strong though rclxub.gif

But yeah, I will check out those. Thanks again! May I know what are the price ranges for Dior Blooming and Chanel Chance?

300+ small bottle.

400+ bigger bottle.

Can't be sure about recent price thou since I usually get them from my regular guys.

Try to hit up bro Marver and ask what's his recommendation.

Not sure whether what I like suits your taste or not.

I know right? It's sitting beside my Dior Sauvage now on my desk.

The lady boss uses it and got it pretty cheap from Changi so no complaints!

Hahah. I have Chanel Chance as well LOL.

And I bought the Miss Dior from Changi Airport too lol. Had some cash vouchers and discounts so I think I paid hardly $60 for the 50ml bottle.
