QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Oct 8 2010, 11:35 PM) Using photoshop I assumed? The extra ram on Toshiba would be a positive though ram is easily upgradeable, but it still add to the cost... Do take note that you need to choose the 64-bit W7 HP to fully utilize the 4GB RAM While bigger screen is better for those tasks... |

+1 Thanks marcus20125 for sharing
Its really a cool laptop~ It looks rather weird with the protruding speakers when the laptop is opened though haha I think the speakers will obstruct the ports when the lid is closed down though.... still, let's wait for reviews~ |

QUOTE(devil94 @ Oct 25 2010, 06:59 PM) can you gimme some model among the netbook that is overall good x) Huh? O___Othx Added on October 25, 2010, 7:01 pmbtw im mentioning netbook Netbook basically refers to "notebooks" which are 10 inches in size... Most netbooks are not very powerful and are quite slow in terms of performance... so its better to choose the ones with a comparatively more powerful processor, you can take a look at Asus Eee PC 1015PEM If performance is not what you seek then perhaps you can read this review: http://www.laptopmag.com/review/laptops/th...x#axzz13QYPBXSc Personally I don't really recommend netbooks, I'd prefer 11.6-12.1 inchers with more power without sacrificing too much portability |

QUOTE(arevolution @ Oct 25 2010, 09:12 PM) Within m101z, 1830TZ, and 1215. You are comparing laptops of different niches I tink 1830TZ is the most powerful among these 3 model. correct me if I am wrong. What about your opinion? I might go for Dell inspiron 13R - core i3 370M, 5470 1GB.. with 5years dell warranty.. Saw someone selling it only at RM1899 in LYN. Izzit worth to buy 13r compared to 11.6" netbook? Usually 11.6 inchers are more towards portability and battery life, which is why you don't often get any dedicated GPUs in them... Performance-wise the Inspiron 13R will surely pawn those subnotebooks So all in all it depends on what you actually want, performance or portability... QUOTE(arevolution @ Oct 25 2010, 10:59 PM) I tink that acer 1830TZ's specs is slightly better than m101z, rite? Ya, it appears so...correct me if i am wrong.. By comparing the specs between this two model. Intel U5400> K325 Intel HD > AMD 4225 Comparing using the information from notebookcheck.net http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Proces...ist.2436.0.html http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphi...List.844.0.html Any comment on this? deciding between this two model only. Acer 1830TZ & m101z. it seems like timelineX battery life should be longer than m101z even comparing to the 9-cell.. Coz AMD is somehow energy-eater.. Based on the comparison here: http://www.laptopmag.com/review/laptop/del...a#axzz13RXMxacx The specs for the T215 is more or less the same as that of 1830TZ.. |

QUOTE(daron @ Oct 26 2010, 06:47 AM) i am also looking at these few options.. Agreed, one will be oblivious to the performance differences bear in mind, they are so closely performed that you probably won't feel any significant diffrence in real life. plus the 1830T is rm1899 where else m101z is rm1701 for the similar spec. acer does however suppose to last longer though.. I guess its down to a matter of which design you like hehe~ For me, I'll definitely go for Singapore's UL20FT that runs of i3-330UM |

QUOTE(arevolution @ Oct 26 2010, 12:11 PM) I saw some malaysia website selling 1830TZ at RM1699 only.. Yeah, usually you'll be able to get around RM100 off the official brochure price after bargaining http://buylaptop.com.my/web/products.asp?Id=973 & compared to dell m101z AMD k325 + 9cell battery RM1701.. Which you prefer? The performance differences ain't very big, so as I've mentioned before, its down to design and feel already. Perhaps you can go have a look at both models and choose the one which suited you most, especially the keyboard and touchpad, those are really important on the go |

QUOTE(SihamZhai @ Oct 26 2010, 10:41 PM) Ok guys, this will be related a little to the PC and also the notebook so hope you guys can help. If you are going on 2012 then perhaps its better to get a desktop 1st since they are real cheap and they are way powerful... My PC just died on me recently, and at the current moment has receive the green light to replace my dead PC. It is hard however to decide on which to get, a PC or a laptop. This is because I'll be going overseas to study soon. If I get a laptop, it might slow down by the time I go ( 2012 ) and my bro will not have a PC to play his games or use. If I get a PC, I still have to get a laptop when I need one later. The laptop will be used for video watching, a little games and also assignments and video conferencing once overseas. Preferably no netbook. Recommendations? Hope all can answer both quesstions, Thx Technology advances real rapidly, after 2 years only you get a laptop which fits your requirements But that's just me la haha |

QUOTE(icycokes @ Nov 2 2010, 03:12 PM) hopefully below 3k Bro, perhaps you can take a look at Lenovo Z360 (i5-460m+ G310M), U460 (14 inch but very slim and light, ignore this if not interested guess i will have the asus in the end. the only battle is between Acer 3820TG and Asus U35JC. i think U35JC suits me better with its battery life. any other brands? 4820 is 14"? dont want anything larger than 13. 3820TG seems nice but i dont need such powelful laptop. the 3820TG is powered by i7 in spore. and abit over budget also.. compaq HP lenovo toshiba those not coming out with small laptops? THANKS ALL for recommendation. Asus U35Jc is a rather good pick except for the poor built which is not very convincing No laptops from Toshiba offers battery life + performance at the moment... QUOTE(annbang @ Nov 2 2010, 03:22 PM) anyone can tell me the pros and cons of lenovo u460, i was attracted by the thickness and weight. but is the laptop heated up very fast? or it keep very warm all the time, becoz i need a laptop for gaming for a long hours but thin and light. The GPU in the U460 is not really meant for gaming...Perhaps you should consider Acer's 3820(S'pore), 4820TG instead |

QUOTE(Kelv @ Nov 5 2010, 01:09 AM) If you need it why not buy it now? Might not easy to find stock as well. Quite a few shops in lowyat plaza have already restock the 4820TG When the time price drop, new model already come out, and you might be tempted to get the newer one as well. Can even find it in Midvalley |
