whch floor of lowyat dat sell phone accesories and laptp accesories..dis is my 1st tyme..hihi blush.gif

There are alot of stores and are scattered throughout the floors. But generally the 1st and 2nd floor is phone-related, whereas the 3rd and 4th floor are more to computer accessories 1... just go for the big stores nod.gif

recommendation noted! but the specs like bad than asus u41jf, how bout the price?
*
Managed to take a look at the Asus U41F today at LYP... the design is generally the same as the previous U35/45Jc, with a slight change in terms of materials for the palm rest, which is not bad... but the built is (I think) even poorer than that of U35Jc/45Jc. Perhaps you should take note of that despite the wonderful specs nod.gif
Alternatives include Acer 4820TG (as mentioned by other sifus) and Toshiba L645 (the one with 5650) nod.gif
You can find all these laptops in LYP already icon_rolleyes.gif

u mean the design is poorer than u35/45jc? i dono shud go for acer onot because i had bad experience for the first laptop i bought, but the worst one is hp compaq, i will never go for hp compaq because the quality is sucks! sent my laptop to hp collection point 5 times in one year! btw, the toshiba l645 price?
*
Design is more or less the same, but the choice of materials used are better nod.gif But its not very solid, maybe because Asus wanted to save weight? hmm.gif
Acer's design is solid, my housemate who's using one (4820TG) so far hasn't encountered any problems thumbup.gif
Hehe, I don't really like Compaqs.... the L645's price should be around RM2.7-2.9k I think hmm.gif

Hey, she just up it to RM2200.. any new laptop like this within this budget?
*
I feel that girls will like the Lenovo Ideapad U460 but it doesn't have an optical drive and its around RM100+ above your budget sad.gif
Or perhaps can take a look at Toshiba's L645, the one with Intel GMA nod.gif

the qosmio well... its very plastic feeling... and iirc its more of a multimedia laptop, the 15.6" version comes with GT330m (last time i saw it, but that was a while ago)
*
Glossy feeling would be a better description... its a super fingerprint and dust magnet! laugh.gif
+1 QFT, the Qosmio has been around for far too long already without and change in the specs except for the i7 CPU.. at the price of RM4799, its not worth it... at least not anymore laugh.gif

My toshiba laptop that has been running for more than 5 years dead already....

Planning to get a new laptop soon...
Was thinking of either HP or toshiba because they are more famous brands. Why here keep recommend asua/acer/dell??Are they better?

Using mostly for heavy web-surfing and microsoft and some gaming.
Budget is 3k-4k must have 3 yrs warranty
But most importantly need to be well built laptop la..
Dont wish to have to keep deal with problems.
And after-sales service must be good if not very stressful.

Please advice me!
*
For Tosiba,
There's the Satellite L635/645/655 [budget line] (alot of variants, can choose the one which fulfills your needs).... and there's also the Satellite M645 [premium line] nod.gif
If you game a lot, perhaps its best to go for other brands like Asus etc. since they have more up-to-date specs and are cheaper too~ nod.gif

Acer 4738g i5-460m ati 5470@RM2299
can choose the second choice since u dun game
*
Asus U45Jc should be around that price range as well right? Or is it RM2699? hmm.gif
The free 2 years international warranty will be worth the extra money I think~

Ok lah.
Anyways thanks for all the help and i kinda give up and dont wan to check further as its already bought.

Just kinda dissapointed with the lousy processor and the price lah...
But Dell studio XPS 16 is not a bad laptop. =/

Actually thinking back... All i need is a Laptop that is well built and long lasting and good warranty services.
The price just my mistake for not researching deeply enough.  nod.gif
sounds like cheering myself up haha
*
What's done is done bro~
No use crying over spilled milk, its still a good lappy nonetheless nod.gif
Not necessarily need to buy based on specs alone.. if not everyone will have the same laptop haha doh.gif

Hi Guys, i need your suggestion and recommendation?

im plan to buy new laptop..

my budget is RM4K and my list is Asus 43jQ and 43JA.
the different is graphic card ie. Nvidia gt 435 1gd and ATI HD 5730 2gb.
which is the best.

i will considers other recomendation within the budget.

thanks...
*
Between the N43Jq and A42Ja, the A42Ja will have better gaming performance due to the better GPU nod.gif
But N43Jq is of higher quality and has additional features like the speakers, design, built etc. Not sure whether the A42Ja has USB 3.0 onot hehe laugh.gif
So it depends on whether you want better specs/performance, or more features/ quality.
Both laptops will be pretty poor in terms of battery life though laugh.gif

Budget = try to be reasonable, let's say RM6k
size: 14" AND below.
Things do: Mostly work. Game doesn't matter. Not a gaming person. besides that, must be reliable.

This should be easy. I am thinking of a Lenovo/IBM
*
Can take a look at Macs, Toshiba's Portege R700, ThinkPads as wel as Sony hmm.gif

So next year relief is up to RM3500 and it will be restricted up to 3 years.
Meaning my parents can enjoy the relief after 3 years?
And do my parents need to clarify on the tax and photostate receipt, etc..?
*
The receipt of the laptop purchase will be needed nod.gif
