QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Nov 19 2010, 01:09 AM) eta, Sandy Bridge should be announced next January CES... Capability of switching GPU availability unknown... From Sandy Bridge, you would get faster Quad core (current i7 740QM base clock is 1.7GHz, Sandy Bridge lowest Quad i7 2720QM is 2.2GHz) and also the capability of switching GPU |

QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Nov 29 2010, 02:15 AM) i7 > i5, but only if your apps can utilize all the core/thread available in i7 Quad.. Wat kind of apps dt cn utilize all cores..latest apps?how about latest games?do they use all four cores.. There's also i7 Dual core, i7 620M and i7 i7 Quad will produce more heat and also consume more energy, just keep in mind notebook with i7 Quad mostly would just last 2 hours with standard battery... |

QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Nov 29 2010, 02:39 PM) Can consider Asus U41Jf, i5 460M + nVidia GT425M/Optimus@RM2999... SCII? Though these notebook is not ULV anymore but it has big capacity battery... video encoding, 3d rendering, etc... games depends, GTA IV is optimized for quad cores, but SCII only dual cores... |
