QUOTE(Here-I-Come @ Oct 10 2010, 06:43 PM) Hello guys,i got some question here... yes, you can, but first i recommend you check if you have a phone with that enable or disable recovery/download mode.Firstly,if i want to root my phone(Singtel set) without voiding my phone warranty can i follow this tutorial? http://samsunggalaxysforums.com/showthread...ng-the-Galaxy-S Can i install this apps without rooting my phone? http://www.appbrain.com/app/ryanzas-oclf-2....QuickFixLagFix After applying the root and lagfix, and the android 2.2 is released officially, can i just update the 2.2 using Kies without unrooting and uninstall the lagfix? try to enter the recovery by volume up+home+power button, try 2 or 3 times by making sure your really press and hold the button correctly, if you are able to get into recovery mode, then go on with the step from the website. no you cant install without root. yes you can update without unrooting, pratically yes you can update without uninstall the lagfix but it really really not recommend to do that, |

QUOTE(adriancs @ Oct 11 2010, 12:25 PM) My pretty AMOLED broke. Dunno how it happened, maybe bumped it while it was in my pocket. The Gorilla glass in front is scratchless, nothing happened to it, but the LCD behind is broken. my cheap nokia handphone screen breake like that when i sit on it, dont think warranty will cover it though, the cost will probably be the same as you buy a new phoneAny chance of getting it repaired in warranty, else anyone knows roughly how much it will cost me? So fragile... first time a screen broken for me. |

QUOTE(adriancs @ Oct 11 2010, 12:37 PM) It was in my front pocket, not back pocket. Didn't sit on it you know it really weird how your got broke, did you see the youtube drop test video of SGS?? it really tough man. di you put it near aircond? then suddenly go into hot sun?I know that there is a possibility, but... I've had almost 10 touchscreen phones, some were even dropped onto the tar road, bounced down the stairs... and none broke! Finding it hard to accept that it is so fragile. If its 600 bux I'm going back to a dumbphone. At least don't feel the pain even it it breaks. |

QUOTE(lOrDjAbU @ Oct 14 2010, 04:18 AM) i want to flash jpm. if you are afraid of losing IMEI, copy efs folder using root or other explorer tat can go into system and store it safelysamfirmware said we need to flash jm8 first with 512.pit + Repartition. and then flash jpm with 803.pit without repartition. and then i saw a thread at xda developer about multi CSC jm8. do i need those CSC? (what's CSC BTW?) hopefully someone can point me to the right direction. don't want to get those IMEI problem. or is this information in the first post? just flashed to JPM. im from dxjp1, and like others said, you really need to flash to JM8 first. i just download the JM8 from samfirm, put code into pda, modem into phone, and just leave csc blank, after that just flash to JPM like the guide say. Gps seems quite fast now, tomorrow will test with my tracks This post has been edited by silentser: Oct 14 2010, 05:28 AM |
