I think my previous interview didn't go well because I couldn't answer "How do you see yourself in the next 5/10 years?" properly. Because in all honesty I just want to make a living wage and take care of my families, and I don't really care how I make it in the company.

I probably should find a better answer for that question next time.

Just keep a safe answer. Say you are looking to continue to improve upon your skill and abilities, and that in turn can lead to better achievement and remuneration in the coming years, something to that effect.

Usually at the end of the interview, they ask "Do you have any questions for me?" What are some questions that someone should ask at the end of the interview? This part sometimes leaves me silent. Thanks in advance for all help / advice.

You can ask several pressing questions about the work itself to show your interest for the position(i list the question in general):

a) what is the current goal/ direction of the department?

b) what are the challenges faced by the current department?

c) how will my role fit into helping the team to achieve the goal?

Always ask question about your job scope rather than asking about monetary benefits. You can ask that once you are offered the position.
I notice asking too much on monetary benefits somehow turn off the interviewer.

No 3 is an excellent response to the offer by the interviewer to ask questions! Thank you for sharing.

If conducting video interviews. Do I need to prepare any documents like my sijil (not professional cert, just activities/event participation cert) to share screen? I am not sure whether is it needed because HR didn’t ask.

But I am worry they need to ask for those documents during interviews. Any advice?

hi, im not sure about what job are you looking for but for me as engineer, professional and academic certs are important.

event participation (uni events, outside events) certs are negligible unless they are career course related.

probably you should ask the HR if the certs are relevant to be shared in the interview?

Why are you worried they ask? Do you not have those with you?

HR didn’t ask to prepare. If physical interviews I will bring it along. But it is video interviews. How can I show it? If needed, I can scan the documents earlier then share screen.

This is the purpose I asked.

never once the interviewers ask me to show these kind of event participation certs either in video interviews or face to face interviews, and so i have taken the list out from my latest resume as well

no need for thank you note. i think it is practically useless in malaysia.

a good and honest interview will be enough to give good impression to the hiring manager.

Hi guys, just went for an interview yesterday. By the end of the interview, the Hr Manager and payroll manager were asking me questions about my current company's benefits and told me theirs and also comparing it. Is this normal for them to ask such questions during interview?

I have experienced before this.

I think about 2-3 interviews that I attended before this asking these kind of questions.

For the question "Tell me about yourself", should I be different and say something like "I'm sure you already know about my education background and working experience from my resume so I'll tell you what's NOT in my resume" and tell them about where I'm from and my hobbies and stuff like that?

Got 3 questions I seem to have trouble answering

1) What's your plan for the future?
2) What motivates you?
3) How do you deal with stress?
