Currently I'm using Lowepro Passport Sling. Fit nicely with my NEX

Any link or pictures for that bag? I am looking for one as well, they're all either too big which destroys the purpose of compact size camera.....

guys, i'm thinking to get LX5, but suddenly found this thread and tbh, which one is better, in terms of image quality only.. LX5 or NEX3 (as price is not differs much)?

i see the image quality of NEX is kinda good, but not sure if the stock lens 16mm is capable to produce good and sharp images.. as i dont plan to spend extra money for lenses / accessories, for now. biggrin.gif

irenic> i think most of the people here will say NEX. Cause the sensor size different. Noise control also superb. But the downside if take only 16mm means you cant zoom. If take 18-55mm it will be quite bulky compared to LX5.

if u like to take pic at night/dark place, nex is a better choice.

but if u really mind compactness, lx5.

nex with 16mm is still compact, but, if only u can tolerate u CANT zoom...

nex with 1855 is not compact, but sexy wub.gif

I thought twin Lens have been phased out already.. You definitely can't get low price since all sellers no stock

How I wish the NEX can just use AA batts. I'm very sure my Sanyo Eneloops will be so much better plus we can just pop into any 7-11 for new batts. Dont understand all these proprietary batts nowadays. Last time good semi pro compacts all use normal AA.

I am really interested in NEX 5 as it fits all my criteria but I'm still a bit sceptical.

I'm worried about its life expectancy with the infamous so-called "Sony Timer" (wikipedia) in which Sony's product will eventually die after its warranty.

I used to have a Sony HIFI and it died after 2 years and now my PS2 also gave up on me in 2 years time too. IS this real?

People always throw these kind of things around... but in truth.. it all boils down to 2 thing:

1) How u take care of your gears/stuff.
2) If you're lucky or not. Yes, Luck plays a role in this.

people say the same thing about Acer products and they last quite long.
people say proton cars are bad, but i still see some 20 year old saga on the highway.

if ur not convinced enough, older models like the sony a100 was first launched in 2006 and some people still use it.

and after 2 years, ur bound to upgrade. rclxms.gif
