shymx: nex have DSLR image quality, the dif between DSLR and NEX is

NEX:
pros: small, handy, easy to operate, lots of lens choice is u don mind manual focus with all kind of adapter, cheapest fisheye solution, great video
cons: less dedicated button (but the firmware v0.3 did help a lot with the custom button), only 3 direct support E-mount lens, no EVF / OVF

DSLR:
pros: better/faster control due to many dedicated button, more lens choice
cons: bulky (but more steady/firm)

I'm more using my NEX over the A700 in day to day casual/family outing.

Anyway it depend on what is ur purpose behind of getting a new camera...
