chill gais.. modding != repairs tongue.gif (their definitions stray far apart even in the dictionary)
repair = making something spoil to sound the same again
modding = making something that works to perform even better

what bro beggarmaster here is showing repairing as he still is using the same jack and the same cable..
as for bro PCwork, he is using different cables and different jacks which the combination is acquired from his personal research.. thus custom re-cabling has its name
thats why bro PCwork wont simply do repairs if it aint worth it ... he has to make sure that not only it will work again, but also sound alot better than before for his customers

he didnt use hot glue to mount the cable to the jack.. instead it is used to create the protective layer for the jack cuz in his guide.. he stripped the casing of the stock jack apart and reused the jack's tip.

regardless.. this is a good guide especially to those forumer who are so lazy to even google a guide to fix/solder a jack.. it almost returns 350K results

come on ive been doing this since standard 6!!

tho i would highly suggest using those .. still consider cheap RM4 yaosheng TNK jacks (they come from the same neutrik factory) sounds the same too if you wanna ask ...
with nickle housing they're able to handle alot more torture especially being trampled on
