I will not be able to claim warranty because I do not have a proof of purchase when my friend got this phone for me in Hong Kong.

It is currently facing overheating issue and repeatedly showing the boot screen and will not boot up unless it cools down a little.

I have send an email to HTC support and did some googling. All of them points to a defect in the main board.

Is there anyone who can do the repair for my phone or knows of a place where I can send it in for repair?

Thanks in advance.

Hong Kong, if you still have warranty, the nearest you can claim is @ Singapore.

IF no more warranty, then just bring it to any HTC SS here?

The distributor in Malaysia would not be able to repair my phone as they do not distribute Nexus One in Malaysia and it requires me to travel to Singapore for the repair.

Thus, I am asking again if anyone knows of a palce in MALAYSIA where I can get my Nexus One repaired so I do not need to go to Singapore for the repair. HTC office in Singapore does not cover the warranty for my phone since its from AT&T USA, not from Google.

So far ALL Nexus One phones are still within warranty..The first ever phone was launched on 5th January 2010, so your phone should definitely be in warranty too smile.gif You can take it to Singapore for repairs. Make sure they "repair" instead of "replace"..You might lose the AMOLED otherwise wink.gif

You have to sent to HTC ( Harbour Court ) just off Keppel road. They will just key in serial number. I have deal with HTC few ocassions and in all cases they just key in serial number ( even for Msian bought sets ). They dont even bother to ask for proof of purchase or warranty card

I have same experience this month when I send in my Samsung Galaxy S to Samsung Service Centre in Plaza Spore. I bought the set in KL and brick it while flashing ( my mistake and carelessness ) and they reflash rom for me FOC - didn't even ask for warranty card or receipt - they again just key in serial number. As I like to experiment I attempt it again using other methods and I brick it again 2 more times over 10 days and 2 more trips down to Spore to have it reflash. Best of all is FREE for the 3 occasions. The last time I went, the officer in charge recognized me and said " you again" !!!
