Hello everyone. Am new here. Luckily i found this thread and decided to buy G5 2 days ago. Can sumone help me. I didn't know how to activate my GPS. Do i need to install GPS software first? Does our credit charged whenever i use the GPS?

i have x10 mini and it doens;t have swype but i download slide it,like swype .

and if i slide f**k it worked well,but if malay language ,it won't regonize,it says ???

is it all malay language or just some words ??

Samsung phones are come with swype, it support English (US/UK), Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Indonesia, etc...........
but it cant apply at the same time, meaning you only able to choose Malay or English in the same time...........

Ya i think so. It use standard Malay language. I've use it. It's funny as am typing all long word instead of regular sms word

currently im using x10mini but im interested with this phone now bcause msj in x10mini is pain.but just a few questions

does this phone have qwerty keyboards bcause i watched this video and i thought it is galaxy5,the phone is samsung i5510,i guess galaxy5 doesn't have keyboards ?

2px camera is it so bad ?

tell me the pros and cons after u guys use this phone,

It cant recognize short form words for malay and english, must regular word..........

i5510 come with qwerty, but whether it available in malaysia still unknown (not in market at this moment)
2MP camera is totally lose out to X10 mini 5MP autofocus camera...........without the autofocus, the pic is not sharp enought, i posted a sample outdoor picture in previous 2 page

and a bad news for x10 mini, the 2.1 update gonna delay again till early next year, and SE have no planning the 2.2 for x10

without the camera shutter key,would it be hard to take photos since u need to touch the screen to capture,won't the picture like blur or something ?btw not bad la your pic

x10,when u take pic,look ugly but when zoom or put in pc,looks nice
bout x10,i dun care they using 1.6 .is there really a big diffrence between 1.6 ,2.1,2.2 ??as long as the application is a lot and updating,then its ok.but what suprise me that se x8 price is much more cheaper than x10,x10mini . bit higher than this samsung

can someone recommend me a shop near subang jaya bcause subang got a lot conned shop.

eventhose it has no dedicated key for camera, but you still can use the big physical key (the black middle one, with the direction key) to capture, i never use touch screen to take photo

amoled? Galaxy 5 is low end model, dont talk about amoled
Amoled device will cost you RM2k above like Samsung Galaxy S and HTC Desire, below 2k you cant get amoled

android 1.6/2.1/2.2 is important, android 1.6 a bit lag, not fully support bluetooth
android 2.1 is more stable, android 2.2 support apps2SD and new JTI compiler and adobe flash.

Since you already have x10 mini, i not recommend you change to Galaxy 5 which is not much different.............

for the swype, everytime you write new word, then press space, it will register the new word into your dictionary, after that you can swype that new word.
so for the early stage, there will be no words such as pegi,blk,kt ne, ko, owh, etc etc, but after you write those wrods regularly, at the middle stage you can swype those new words

u can get samsung wave super amoled screen below 2k
my 1.6 no lag ..agree bout the bluetooth.

so really ?hurm,i like everthing bout x10 mini except for the battery(when i use a lot,i feel the battery is quite reasonable,but when im not using it,it dying really fast) and also the sms, its hard to sms ,easy actually but the recommendations words is annoying,can't ignore it,the screen looks small but actually it was quite big,maybe bcause of the small design make it looks smaller

in term of interface, android 1.6 is smooth, but when you playing the 3D game, android 2.2 will give you 50% faster

recommendation word (T9) for Galaxy 5 can switch on/off

why,is it swype so hard ? i thought its much easier sms using swype ?

ya i know samsung wave is using bada but its one of the cheapest phone i know that uses super amoled screen

My HTC Legend is using AMOLED screen.
SGS & Desire is using SUPER AMOLED

actually desire only AMOLED, not SUPER, SUPER is registered under samsung, only samsung can come out with SUPER AMO

now desire have SLCD <-- not sure if the name is right,
super lcd screen if im not mistaken

does this phone comes with ap set or only ori from samsung?

Anyone already try to "push/pull" apps using this phone? adb command?
Still can't push my apps through usb debugging...
