This thread is interesting. Previously, I was very skeptical on all this ghostly things. I've watched and listen to alot of ghost stories before and I've come to a conclusion that when a person life ends it just end, nothing else. Until few months ago when my beloved father passed away, I've change my mind and millions of questions on life and death suddently strucked me. I keep asking myself where is my father now eventhough I know he's gone forever, is he going to be alright to walk that path alone, is he around and can see us during the funeral services, will GOD bless and protect his soul. Being the curious me, I did some researched on the net and I've found the answers to my questions. Surprisingly through my findings, I did encounter some of the unexplainable things during my father's passing. I was told that the soul will come back in the form of insects. When my father still in hospital, my sister noticed a huge white coloured butterfly flying into our house as if it was visiting and looking around. This is unusual as she never sees a huge white coloured butterfly in our home before. Its butterfly and not moth and we suspect its our ancestor. During the wake, when my father's photo was positioned to place, it drizzled and back to sunny shortly after. On the sending off day, as a son I was holding the ancestor tablet and there was this white colored insect lands on my thigh. Immediately I knew it was my father and when I touch it, it doesnt fly away until we reach the burial ground only it flew away happily. I've never had a flying insect lands on me and wont fly away for that duration of time before. The Chinese said that human has 3 souls and 7 emotions which took 49 days to form during birth and it took 49 days to leave during death. Human has 3 souls, animals has 2 souls and insects has only 1 soul. Like what Heibaiwuchang explained, human has heaven soul, earth soul and man soul. During a person passing, his souls will blow out just like a gust of wind. Heaven soul goes directly to heaven, earth soul to hell and man soul will stay at the grave. Therefore, the deceased cannot come back in the form of animals because it needs 2 souls. It only can take the form of insects which required only 1 soul and that is his man soul. This theory seem quite true based on personal experience but still unexplainable.

i already moved  "地主公" when i moved new house, will him still protect my house n family??
tat time my sifu din told my dad oh, just informed us take red cloth to cover and move....
tat time we moved "kuan yin" and  "地主公" together.

地主公 tablet usually we replace with new one when one is moving into a new home. Prayers ceremony should be conducted at the old place to inform the 地主公 that your family appreciate and be thankful for his protection and the old 地主公 will hand over his job to the new 地主公 at your new home because every house has different 地主公. Only move Guan Yin and ancestor tablet with you. The Sky God tablet also replace with new. As what I was told.

Hey.My grandma just passed away few weeks ago.Today my cousin brother who my grandma loves the most died due heart attack too..Why does this happen? My cousin brother is just in his 30s and unmarried. My friend told me that there's something wrong during my grandma funeral.
*
It could be:

1. He had heart disease for a long time just that he doesnt know it. Heard of heart disease is a silent killer? He loves your grandmother very much too and could not cope with the loss. It is difficult and very painful when somebody close to us dies. The stress and grief that he had to deal with could have triggered the heart attacked.

2. Is your grandma buried? This one may sound hard to believe and since your grandma just passed away I'm not going to tell you out of respect. Go find out something regarding to Yin House Feng Shui. Yin house in feng shui means your grandma tomb.

Its doesn't related with your grandma who took away your cousin brother life... A new ghost... means a person who just passed away wont have such strong energy to took away another human life.... Some more is her own grandson... How could it be? Ancestor wont bring harm to our own family member just blessing those is still alive....

Your case same as one of my friend.... Her grandpa die from heart attack on Mon and she tell me the news, Well, after pass fews days until Friday, she told me again that her dad passed away from parkinson ... Finally cost me pay double funeral money to her.... I though how can i help her since happening but finally also cant help her cause she is a Christian....

You also can visit your ancestor tomb to check it out either your ancestor tomb have broken or spoil... If really spoiled or broken, better fixed it as fast as possible cause its may bring sickness or death to family members....

There is a superstitious believe that when a funeral ceremony is held at home, all mirrors should be covered up with white paper. This is to prevent one from seeing the reflection of the coffin in the mirror. If anyone sees the reflection in the mirror, there will be a second funeral. This is very serious, dont play play.

Including mirror in the toilet?

If your toilet mirror can reflect the coffin then yes. Its like the famous feng shui theory of putting mirrors in the dining room so that it double the food on the table. Same theory, nobody wants a double funeral in the house right. Actually its not that appropriate to hold a funeral at home because living being is of yang energy while deceased is of yin energy. If one yang energy is weak, one can easily fall sick. Also, during the ceremony it can attracts lots of wandering souls around that area to visit your house.

I found this helpful:

Rule No. 1 – Knock the door before you enter the room
This is said to “inform” the spirits that you are about to enter the room. Its a polite gesture so the spirits might not feel offended if you just barge into their room

Rule No.2 -Flush the toilet as soon as you enter the room
This is say to flush away all bad things

Rule No.3 – Cover the mirrors in the bedroom
Remember to cover the mirrors. This is to ensure that they are not staring back at you from the other end

Rule No.4 – Make sure your shoes are both in opposite faces. Eg, one half of the shoe faces up, the other half faces down
This is to have the yin and yang effect. A natural balance in the room

Rule No.5 - Don’t leave the bed unattended (Double bed rooms)
This only applies if you are not occupying the other bed. Make sure you put things on the bed. This is to ensure you are not inviting any invisible visitors to spend the night in your room. In fact, I have a friend that finds any of his stuff to put around at even the chairs.

Rule No. 6 – Leave the bathroom lights on at all times
Spirits like to hang around at damp and dark places and your bathroom would seem inviting if the rest of the room has lights on. By switching the lights on, spirits might probably find your room inhabitable

Rule No.7 – Always request for double bedroom
This only applies to those traveling alone. Its said that by ordering another bed, you would not face a situation where the spirit might just be sleeping next to you as you can’t even occupy the whole queen sized bed by yourself.

Rule No.8 – Say “NO” to rooms near exits
They say that rooms that are next to exit (emergency) areas usually attract more spirits than other rooms. Why? Its because of the lonely and deserted stairway that attracts these spirits. And because they travel easily (through walls), they tend to linger at the next room just to disturb the unfortunate inhabitant.

Woah, if i'm going to do all this when staying in hotel room it kinda remind me that something is in the room. In Cantonese " mou dou pin yau" which means there is nothing in the first place but mentally you make their presence felt. As for rules number 6, you mention that spirits likes to hang out in damp and dark places. Usually when staying in hotel I would sleep with the bathroom lights on while my room lights were off. In the middle of the night my room with the air-cond on will become damp and dark, does that mean i'm inviting the spirits to my room?

I think he mean in hotel room with double bed, you should join the two beds together as not to leave a space in between the two beds else ghost will stand there looking at you when you sleep at night. Your mum really saw a female ghost sandwiched in between the two beds??!!!!!!!
