actually now wifi everywhere... unsure.gif

WiFi = Not reliable, never for a smartphone.

My experience:

1. Open WiFi - Works
2. Open WiFi with some kind of proxy/tunneling/web-based login (like McD) - Failed
3. Encrypted WiFi - Still Works (Just ask for the password from the shopkeeper, or Aircrack it if you have the patience and time, and it is WEP encrypted)

I would say having HSDPA is better than WIFI and more practical.

Furthermore, data plans are affordable these days.
