I've been using Elixir's for the last 3 years - keep a stock of it at home just in case I run out. They're really good, ur strings look and remain spritely and sounding bright for far longer than the average ernie/addario/marzio etc. You can also try DR strings - the coated handmade ones, which I feel are even better. If ur looking for a cheap alternetive, there is a cheapo brand called Pyramid, doesn't sound as good but strings last as long as (or even longer than) Elixirs.

zeroglyph is right, be very careful with antirust on ur fretboard.
