I think I know what cause the BBM Bridge not loading on my PB
It is the contact list of in my BBM (Phone).
Initially, I had 89 contacts. I did some housekeeping. Delete those inactive contact and cut down as much as possible. Now my contact is only 9.
I BBM bridge with my PB. Wallla...load almost instantly.
A Happy man now..  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif
Solution:
HOUSEKEEPING your BBM contact list. Trim down as much as U can

What Item u cannot view? Mails? BBM? or all items? Please be specific.

Before that:
1) Pls install the latest version of Bridge App: 1.0.0.83
2) Install your BB mesenger to 5.0.3.22

since u dont have PB now, hard to test right?

Guys. I'm planning on getting a PB once it is officially available in Malaysia (due to warantee issues).

Some of my friends ask "Why not iPad and Honeycomb?".

My standard reply is:
1. I like the 'Blackberry experience'.
2. QNX OS appears much more powerful.
3. Full browsing experience.
4. I can use my BB as a modem.
5. I don't like iTunes.

What are YOUR reasons?

I have an iPad at home and I just bout the Playbook. Let me tell you the reasons why the iPad is collecting dust now.

1) Size. The Playbook is at the right size for me to bring it wherever I go. It can even fit nicely into my pouch.

2) Blackberry Bridge. Emails, BBM, Calendar etc. all in when paired with my Bold 9700.

3) Tethering. I'm on Maxis BIS Unlimited so my Playbook is literally connected to the web 24/7.

4) OS. Seriously, iOS is just boring and dated. QNX offers a software update every 2 weeks.

5) Hardware. Full-HD dual cameras and a processor that can multitask like I've never experienced before.

6) Active bezels. Offers a totally different experience when using a tablet.

7) Browser. One of the best browsers I've used on a mobile gadget. Flash support wins it.

8) Screen. Has more pixels per inch as compared to the iPad 2.

9) Future proof. Will be able to support HDD and many others in the future.

10) Different. 9 out of 10 tablets I see on the streets are iPads and iPad 2. Screw that. Bloody sell-outs mainstreamers.

collecting my PB later tnite...

well, after linking my bb with PB, at BRIDGE page, i dont see the ICONS, only see words, click on it and says ERROR.. for all the things in BRIDGE PAGE...

BTW:
1) Pls install the latest version of Bridge App: 1.0.0.83 <-- i was at the shop and the guy was updating his PB on wifi, so i guess the BA also latest 1.0.0.83
2) Install your BB mesenger to 5.0.3.22 <-- already at 5.0.3.22

if both also dont work, what else shd i do?

Added on May 12, 2011, 6:45 pmoh and ya, what movie format does PB supports? im a Android Tablet user now, Android even supports MKV..

blinky,
that's very well summarised really. almost to the point - but no 10 item might get u in dispute with some not too happy antagonists!..

bytheway, do u think the upcoming 3g/4g version might throw the current version into absolete if the pricing is not marginally huge? many are calculating either to throw in the towel n grab one now or wait a little longer so for the 'G' version coming up..

cheerio!

oh, mikelanding, u got pm! thx, cheerio again!

Don't see a point for someone like me to get the 3G/4G version because I'm already tethering on BIS Unlimited. Wouldn't want to have an extra monthly commitment.

Going to try out this soon. Been using iPad 1 & 2 here , what i like about iPad is their huge App selection for everything and the excellent battery life.
How is the battery life on PB ? Looks kinda interesting and might get one on hand soon.

Try check your PC firewall. Also router port forwarding.
Above 2 is what I can think off.

I liked iPad. Due to the immensely available apps. I used to open iTunes and stare at iPad apps imagine im playing one tongue.gif I can do with both iPad and PB. But one thing PB triumph is the browser. It's an extremely good browser and works just like the desktop version.

Why no Xoom? I'm using HTC Hero now and I hate every moment of it. Laggy while scrolling, force close everytime, horrendous buttons and novice apps who doesn't bother to polish up a little bit. Now imagine all those being magnified to a 10 incher.

U need BBM (5.0.3.22) + Bridge (1.0.0.83) installed on your BB in order for Bridge BBM to work.
