i plan to get it as i will use it on BBM chat. since YM, Gtalk AOL and everything related to IM in this country were completely blocked. BIS is the only option you got left. of course i pick it due to it's mobility and business related capabilities, but it'll be a bonus if i can make it as phone as well as entertainment tab. not much on playing games anyway.

i think would be unlikely to happen, even though they would have the 3G version, which i think are for data plans only.

hmmm..... it's more like portable personal entertainment gadget, no connectivity on it's own and it'll be trouble if we're outside 3g/wifi supported area

Just got a bunch of new stock. This is awesome device. The screen is smaller than I'm expected but the OS is surely giving a fresh experience. For those interested, PM me for best price. thumbup.gif

There's a good post about blackBerry Bridge for everyone to view, but I guess I can sum up the entire bridge experience as following.

The Bridge isn't just a fancy name for the bluetooth connection as some idiot reviews out there. What it does is to make a "mirror" to your BlackBerry smartphones. Okay, so what can it do?

1) Tether (pretty obvious)
2) Mirror (will be explained later)
3) Remote BB.

Tether is pretty obvious for the non 3G versions, but the bridge can act as a remote console and also as a mirror. This is where it gets different and better. For a start, mirror means it will mirror what's already in your blackberry smartphone, then show it up as a panel in your PB. Even if you surf the net, its using your BB's own data, no tethering. Good news? There's flash. Your BB does the data, your PB does the crunching. Sneaky but very efficient. Its like you're using the office pc to access the home pc to access certain webpages that you can't go into. Heheheh!

Remote is pretty self explanatory, except when you kill off the connection the apps usable will be grayed out. The moment you try to launch them they will reaiactivate the bridge back online. Wonderful stuff!

Just got my Playbook today!
It is 16gb order from US.

First impresstion:
- wow..it is very small. (for and ex-Ipad user)
- But it is not light. Dot get fool by the size
- The boot screen is very nice.
- Screen is very crispy, vibrant, sharp and bright! Much more better than Ipad's IPS. VIewing angle is excellent too!
- Very easy to hold due to small size and rubberish back.
- my wife love the size very much. She intend to get one for herself after see mine.. doh.gif doh.gif

Below picture is still charging and updating for the first time. OS1.0.1.1710. 287mb. took me around 30 mins to download.
