guys...some pricing updates on the rivals.

Another fren of mine got his IPad last weekend @ RM2299 (64GB | WiFi | 33G)

Heard, they have a tough fight from Samsung Galaxy.

This morning, I read in newspaper. Motorola Xoom launched.

Playbook will require to be competitive if they are serious competing in this segment

iPad from RM3k down to RM2599 and now RM2299... Seems like it is getting cheaper and cheaper... I dont think all this will effect Playbook as it has its own market for existing BlackBerry user + new incoming user...

yeah i think the same too,the playbook customers also will be majority from bb users as they like the way bb is.

It's getting cheaper since its getting nearer to the launch of iPad 2 which is around April if I'm not wrong

yeah they wanna get rid of ipad to make way for ipad 2

I think iPad price droped it is because of too much tablet in market now, Samsung, Dell and etc...

well it is said this year is the year where all tablets are push into the market.
only ipad has the 1st move last year

Hopefully Playbook will have a good selling price so everyone will migrate to BlackBerry...

CES 2011: Ryan Bidan Q&A

A few days ago I posted the first picture of the BlackBerry App World running on the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, taken at CES 2011. At first glance there doesn’t seem to be anything special other than this being the first image showing the App World on the PlayBook, but a friend of mine pointed something out that will surely excite many of you. If you look at the image above you’ll notice it shows a bunch of applications like BBM, MSN Messenger, Facebook and others, but it turns out the PlayBook will also be getting a Skype application.

Considering a dedicated Skype app has only been available for BlackBerry smartphones on the Verizon Wireless network, this is a significant development. While this doesn’t mean the Skype app will be available on smartphones not on Verizon’s network anytime soon, at least PlayBook owners will be able to enjoy video chatting/conferencing since distribution isn’t limited to certain carriers.

Knowing that Skype will be available on the PlayBook tablet, would you get it if certain BlackBerry apps were only available for the PlayBook, or are you getting it regardless?
