QUOTE(zahirr @ Oct 6 2010, 12:44 PM) Hello everyone. I really need some big, big help right now.. Got my own Nokia N900 LAST NIGHT, did some basic stuff with it; change phone settings and take a good closer look on 'what's new' on N900.. and then I updated the firmware to the latest software update by FOTA, waited til the update finished, then I turned it off, and then charged it using the given charger adapter, not exceeding 4 hours of charging. This morning after I wake up, saw the green light on the phone, which means the phone is fully charged, unplugged the adapter, turned the N900 on and this is where the problem started.. The phone took a long time to boot, and a banner appeared during the boot up (blinking white dots) saying: "All telephony functions, including emergency calls, are disabled due to a communication error. To recover, you might have to reboot the device". Tapping the screen clears this, and boot continues. The same warning is repeated when reaching the desktop. The red line is through the SIM card on the main status beside the battery signal, and sure enough, it's disappeared. Tried making some phone calls but the phone failed to do so. It looks like either hardware failure, or driver failure. I've reseated/cleaned the SIM and swapped SIMs in and out between different devices, so I'm confident it's not the SIM. Did some googling awhile ago and found some users beside me that having the same problem as mine, all telephony function DISABLED by an unknown reason, and it happened not so long after the latest firmware update. It's really dissapointing.. telefon baru belum sampai 24hours of usage dah kena this kinda problem.. how come bole kena some trouble like this right after update.. Someone.. Anybody.. Mr. Otai Aspire! Please help me fixing this problem... Thanks for reading this panjang lebar prob.. QUOTE(Andy214 @ Oct 6 2010, 01:00 PM) Not sure what's the problem and if there is a solution for it. yes bro try manual flashing that might be able to help. But the is always the last resort: manually flash it; follow aspire's guide on the front page. It's very easy and safer than FOTA. |

QUOTE(bagata @ Oct 11 2010, 02:38 PM) thanks aspire2oo6! As i would you say the only design flaw is battery life dats all..yeah, i read the front page before i posted at there... is there any design flaw like what happened on N97? because my place dun have ori set, so most prob going for AP set... and what is the efficient charger differ from normal charger? i tot n900 battery can last longer than n97... that is the only bad thing i can see... normal standard charger that comes in the box is the best at the moment. all the sifus what happen no more photo updates aaa??? |
