I am thinking bout getting a LCD monitor so i could bring my ps3 system at my hostel.
You guys think that I should bring it or not?
I know that I have to study and all that but I just went back to my home once in every 4-5 month(my home located far away from my college)
but all my housemate went back to their house almost everyweek. At weekends, there are nothing that I can do.

my problems are It is HOSTEL.I plan to bring it quietly so only that my housemate knows bout this and not other people.
so what do you guys think? icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

besides u havent even meet ur room mate yet,u dont know his/her personality, wat if he/she will betray u?

and u cant expect to carry ur ps3 while going to lectures rite?tat thing is heavy!

my best advice is that u abandon ur ps3 lo....get a decent laptop and u can game on the weekend....

I definitely agree with this!!!!!!!!!! +9999

point 1: u cant carry ur ps3 around..so, if u leave it there, it either get stolen or it can get vandalised if people become"green eyed"..

point 2: go for psp if u want portability. (or laptop if budget allows..but my call is till with psp)...

if u know ur roomie, then shud b fine... anyway, good result doesn't represent their attitude..

i bring my PS3, my pointer go up, and yes, u might be abit worried about thief, so make sure, everytime finish play, put it in a locking cupboard, and make sure, lock ur door using heavy padlock.

I only bring LCD monitor 22", subwoofer, and PS3. That will made people believe that its ur desktop.

So, i suggest u bring if u really want to play.

Which college u go to? there is quite a few college around bangi area (UNITEN is not bangi actually).

Anyway when it comes to games and study, there are people who can do it, there those who can't. I have friends on both side of the category. It's just how much you study afterward. Next on the list is of course theft. Back in my days, me and my friends are trustworthy dudes. Been roommates/housemates from 1st semester so we ain't afraid bringing in expensive stuff. If you don't know or don't trust your roommates/housemates, better leave it.

there are things you must not share or put complete trust to another person.. even when u r married.. money n valuable possession can turn one u think a good person to greed.. when things go wrong.. theres always a finger to point...

fellow lyn members have given u a decent warning not to bring it due to security purposes.. but if you do bring it... n something goes wrong.. like theft, mishandled by other n etc... prepare to point n blame urself for it..

i suggest u leave the ps3 at home until u get a better/secure renting place.. enjoy the college life.. do co curiculum, join clubs n be friended those who are less privealege too.. this is the best education that adds value b4 u go into the working world...

Im going to college, and im bringing my ps3 to my hostel.

but my college different, the hostel are individual houses.

So im having single room, everytime go out, just lock the room =) the windows are grilled.

depending on your room, if its shared, then there is problem as it is easily access.

and there is also roommate problem, get into an arguement with ur roommate, or whatever action tht piss off ur roommate, prepare to see some damage to your stuff << this is real story, always happen.

conclusion : single room << u can bring anything
sharing room <<< dont bring too many things

I respectfully disagree. I find gaming much better than pissing money away in nightclubs. Unless your friends happen to be goodie two shoes in which case you're lucky.

I remember my friend buy a PS2 and bought to hostel and play.
One day he and his roomate sleep (afternoon) and wake up and see the PS2 plug been cabut.
The thief try to steal the ps2 but maybe so many plug it take time. He change his mind and ran away maybe because he though my friend wake up.

My suggestion is you get a large travel bag that can fit PS3+LCD. Buy ones with combination lock.

Put it under your bed deep inside.

Or you can do like what I do - sleep with my laptop and psp under my pillow.

thank you for packing up the LCD screen and Ps3 nicely in the bag.

All i need to do is go to your room and take your bag out and go home and rip your travel back apart
