Not sure what you mean by use; it's a cross-platform library; I'm no professional or expert, but as these libraries concern, it's whether there will be one available for the OS, just like Java as a cross-platform library. Qt is open-source. Does Google need to pay to support Qt? I'm not sure, but if it's free, I don't see the issue.

Like I said, I'm no professional or expert, but if you're so sure and firm why Google will not support Qt, please help to explain why. Around the web, people are talking about having Qt on Android and also talking about 3rd party porting possibilities; It won't harm to have "extra", unlike Mr. Jobs and it's fans.

Btw, the album view on N8 looks like the previous preview on Qt on S60 platform.
Have you installed Qt Examples and Demos on PC? It looks smooth and great.

Honestly, I'm no expert in Qt, but I don't see what's the problem to have Qt support on more platforms? Maybe there is a reason why you think it is not good? Can you share? I curious why "it seems like" you prefer not to have it instead of having it.

looks like the conclusion of mobile-review not good for N8.   I using Pixon12 before. No doubt, the camera quality is SUPER B !!! 

Yes, so Java is also facing similar problems right? That's why I don't get why Qt is any different as the initial posting about having many versions.

Anyway, I'm talking in terms of consumer point of view, Qt is "nice to have", as Intel AppStore going cross-platform. App/games cross-platform across mobile devices that support Qt, like Symbian, MeeGo, Maemo, and even Windows CE/Mobile?
Currently, Java is one of it, but most mobile devices only supports J2ME version; Having additiona support for Qt, in my personal opinion, is a plus points for consumers. I'd like to see cross-platform AppStore as shown by Intel.

why compare with DC! N8 is a Camera phone. i think one of the best of its kind

Just paid RM 200 to preorder Nokia N8 at Nokia Shop at the Gardens, Mid Valley. Can get 2 years warranty and a free Nokia N8 pouch. They told me that on the 10th the shop will be renovated. They will add a HD TV for the Nokia N8 connected with the HDMI cable. And it should be released on the 11th.

And one more thing. They told me the price is below RM 1800.

I will wait at least a month before buying this phone. There are a lot of hyped phones coming out end of the year - Desire HD, Desire Z, Windows Phone 7 - and I want to try them all first before making a decision.

i tot res wont matters too but i was proven dead wrong about hi res in puny screen as i am now able to surf comfortably on portrait mode which i usually hate as it make everything too small n blur. not with retina+hi res tho. its is really convenient for me
