i have a crazy idea that Louis Van Gaal will be sacked by Munich in few weeks time...
and we will then have him..hahahaha

but can our handbags boys tolerate Van Gaal, whom i believe is quite a tough and enigmatic character? no.........

then bring Erickson in la....England's millionaires players' favourite manager
*
likewise

with our purse so stolen by the cowboys, i believe even if RH is sacked. they might just only allow appointment from within hmm.gif no van gaal, no fancy big name managers that cant loud mouth the owners. They americans wouldnt want to go that route.

so much uncertainty. as fans worldwide we are so affected (by this crisis), to think that the players won't be?? they are there, they live, breathe liverpool. shakehead.gif
professionals or not, their morale is bound to be hit.

i can comprehend why some thinks just because they are paid handsomely, they dont have a heart on things around them.

i like the way england's media blaming rafa's players causing the bad start of this season. poor old roy having to inherited rafa's sucky squad and end up in relegation zone. if only he inherited a better team..

what a bunch of biased bullcraps!
*
the english media 'won' when they got rafa sacked.

the english media 'won' when LFc installed an english manager. (at least someone the media can understand during post match conference)

the english media will blame (now the flavor is that spanish dude) everyone but themselves.

denial, denial, danial

QUOTE(hfi @ Oct 5 2010, 01:22 AM)
This club is going backwards at alarming rate. We had a manager who understood what was lacking and how far behind we were compared to other clubs/ He tried to change things and make us modern again. Alas, to some people this was unacceptable. Its not the Liverpool Way.
*
ditto, liverpool fc amongst the big english teams was one of the slowest in adapting to the modern ways of administering a efficient football club. We never was as savy as Manu in embracing commercialisation & milking the club in full grandiose for the world stage comsumer.

if there is any credit, it must be given to houllier who saw how dilapidated or ancient/old school some of the training facilities we had at liverpool that time.
of course there were initial resistance but always a compromise. The Liverpool Way Is important, & its been credited in many times this tradition had help us.

after houllier left, it was rafa, a no nonsense who felt, in order to harald us back to the future, we needed big, big overhaul. money is important, a larger bigger capacity stadium is important. He must have stepped on some old guards that some 'Liverpool Way' needed some refresh thinking.

rafa was caught big time with the wars within. no he had to many tiff with the english media, he had loads of murmur dissatisfactions from within. to me rafa was fighting to many fronts & his attention to managing the players may be distracted.

in the end, or as what we see now it seems the conflict of ourselves in the club. yes we are pround of our history, we are massively proud of our closely guarded way, but the footballing world is changing, the money boys are now the biggest influence in the football stage.

Liverpool it seems they need to be overhauled. we should to retain & choose whats made us great but adapt for the future.

i watched aquillani played for juve against inter d other day
he's fit (lasted almost 70mins), showed great 1st touch n good vision in distributing passess...much2 better than lucas-poulsen...
why RH bothered to loan him out?
*
my biggest guess is liverpoolfc (read owners) needed to tighen their salary slip. he's is someone who is a 50-50 in coming back from a major injury & hasnt been seen in too many BPL games that he could match the pace. its was the 'safer' path. less risk. save on the purse.

none of the mistakes can compare to the sorry ass that is poulsen.

btw, another good positive is that the fast food lfc fans seem to have dissapeared...
in the last week or so i can count on one hand the number of lfc jerseys i've seen outside...
*
you can count me as one of the defiant one, i am still wearing my LFc jerseys on weekends. but its the previous carlsberg black LFc one. I'm in the state of mourning at the affairs at liverpool. vmad.gif

QUOTE(RedSiglap56 @ Oct 5 2010, 05:46 PM)
What a terrible result on Sunday and what a terrible position to be in now. Ironically, what may impact on our results/position is not on the pitch. We wait with abated breath whether RBS will take over LFC tomorrow and get LFC a new owner before the end of October.

I believe that will give the manager and players a lift.

Blast me if you want, but I believe RB was fortunate to inherit a good team from Houllier whereas RH inherited a mess.. Yes Poulsen may take a longer time to adjust to the PL than RH thought but he's still better than Lucas and RB bought many more duds during his time.

Skrtle and Johnson have to go. They have caused our defence to become so fragile this season.
*
mess? it seems more then half of current 11 LFc is not banitez 11.

its remains a mystery why so many are still appallingly ignorant on this amonst others. there are many accounts online such as the independent papers but still gullible ones believe in papers (those anti rafa)

americans.

i'll be cautious. after the scandalous southern rednecks, i do hope the board has done due deligence. americans, masters of marketing. they at times are quite ignorant to the signs of the worlds taste but as they say, they can & pretty good at "shock & awe" marketing & possibility bringing us forward. i just hope its not deja vu (as when G&H arrived)

With all the behind the door ugly maneuvers (G&H), trying to renegade the deal, It does seem that G&H will take this matter to court. its not likely to be an end as easy as this. (I love the 'opportunity' to personally to kick G&H out)

Hope no one's yanking our chain this time.

As for all the Rafa this Rafa talk... lets put it to rest shall we? He's gone and he's probably not coming back ever. Thank him for the memories and let's move on! We've got a relegation battle on our hands!
*
+1 agree, but it will never rest cause there will still be slagging rafa. they always want to have the last slime.

i picked this up from the posted link

QUOTE
The Skinny on the "New Ownership
This is not a regurgitation of wiki -

I am not a Red Sox fan but I am obviously a big follower of American sports and have followed the story of the Red Sox for years. I am very familiar with the track record of the Henry Group and how they have managed and owned the Red Sox over the last several years.

My reaction to this is strangely kind of the same feeling I got when Hodgson was appointed manager. Supremely underwhelmed. Not because they are bad owners...quite the contrary, they, unlike that crockpot Hicks have a very respected track record in American Sports.

It just kind of feels like we are settling for second best option...again.

The Pros you will like:
You couldn't find a more professional group of people running a sports franchise if we go by what they have done in Boston. They are organized, principled, smart as hell, and will manage the club "the right way". Commercially - they have the bussiness side down to a science. They will market the product and bring in the commercial revenues in the best possible manner. They are also a no frills no drama club...so none of the shennanegans you see from Beavis and Beavdead.

The Not as Pro as We would have been fantasizing about:
These guys are not your dream sugar daddy. If you were waiting for oil or chinese money to arrive on white unicorns, you got another thing coming. In baseball - they are the second biggest spenders behind the New York Yankees who are the former United and Chelsea when they were really rich, and Citeh now. Even when the Yankees are spending crazy jack, the Red Sox have always prided themselves of not taking the bait and reacting in similar fashion just for the sake of it. They look at and actually refer to the Yankees as the "Evil Empire" cause they spend so much. They have splurged from time to time...but its not their M.O. And if its not their modus operandi at Boston, it sure as hell ain't gonna be at Liverpool. Given our current situation where so many are convinced that we are basically in the tank with only 2 good players on the squad, this is slightly disappointing as I was really hoping for more financial muscle.

So its hard to know how to feel right now - I am thrilled that the past nightmare may be over. But am I certain we have crossed over to the promised land? Absolutely not. These guys play their cards very closely to the chest. I am honestly stunned that they are taking over this venture to be perfectly honest with you. I am concerned that this has come about so quickly given the circumstances...I hope they - the 3 dudes in the board room - are not doing this because they got backed into a corner because this is how you make mistakes. This is how we made mistakes the last time when DIC bailed suddenly and Parry and Moores were left with the pants halfway down to the ankles needing to do something, anything, to save the situation.

Will be very interesting to see their plans on the stadium....Red Sox have a baseball cathedral of their own, Fenway Park, where out of respect for the fans, they resisted the temptation to build a new one and just upgraded Fenway. Will they decide to do the same with Anfield???

Don't get me wrong...I am happy that we are even this far after so many false starts. I was just hoping that I would be a heck of a lot more certainly thrilled than I am feeling right now. Looks like this will be yet another wait and see approach.

snipes

as i said, i remain cautious.

carra has lost quite some legs now. but it all seems that only CB is his only choice. but under RH's formation. he aint looking good.

carra is still dependable for 70-80 minutes. its unfortunte the remaining minutes thats enough to put sword down the heart. with the bleak options, it highly likely RH will keep carra & hope for miracle. (which i hate)

its becuase of this shite news that so many gullible LFc fans became anti-rafa.

this like many vultures just wanna stomp on us when evil is in the winds. We dont need your comments redknapp. just because the tide may just be turning well (NESV) for the great liverpool, you don't have to seize such opportunity to hit us below the belt. (no need to be jealous too redknapp, spurs are public listed & u dont have to be another forgie's mouthpiece)

we already know G&H arent model owners, in fact they are the single biggest contribution to our ill fortunes. Our downturn are the domino effect of your toxic atmosphere you 2 created at liverpoolfc when you both dip both hands into the clubs profits to pay your loan interest, both you muppets never ever had the interest of the club AT ALL.

QUOTE
In another twist, leaked minutes from a Liverpool board meeting allegedly contain Hicks making personal and abusive comments about Liverpool fans, which will increase the hatred already felt by the supporters against the current owners.

G&H wants a showdown. if you know the americans better, they like the "High Noon" standoff.
its rather quite typical of them, if they have to go, it will be 'guns blazing' vmad.gif they dont care, they never ever did.

its been a long walk.

we been pelted with sticks & stones, but we wavered on. come later today, & if indeed we are free from the clutches of G&H, its by no means the storm is over.

the journey will continue for us to herald the good times & challenging trophies ahead of us. while NESV's success with boston red (world series) may have been a good example, ours could served as a bigger & more difficult challenge, far far more difficult.

thanks to the poisonous atmosphere that had several good players leave (alonso among them) because club wanted of player sale (raise fund) ahead of good reinforcements of players & the departure of manager rafa amongst the situation of the debacle ownership.

We just may soon be walking together with the boston red sock as both want to ascend to the pinnacle of success.

Yes the results on the pitch might have not gone his way, but for what he did and his fight against the owners, and fighting for whats right for the fans.

Thank You Rafa. This is a win for you too.

i actually feel sad, i sure there is regret from rafa (whilst there is a slight satisfaction of getting rid of the G&H cancer) . esp the state of affairs that has plagued LFc.

& it looks like the G&H show is turning out exactly as i predicted. cowboy showdown with guns blazing with the texas court injunction. (which i dont think will change much but will see the interpretation)

*
No, as matter of fact. I would love to see how the anti-rafa fans have their day with the new LFc.
They said they have suffered for 5 years under rafa. 5 years. (doenst matter we won something trophies, had an unbelievable amount of points ever, some 2nd place or whatever)

5 years of suffering under rafa regime as they call it. Lets have it their way. Let's have no rafa back or some fanciful european manager. Now without the comedy G&H, its time we let our boys show & strut their football brains.

Of course we seem to be playing more attacking (from the forumers posts here in the begining of the season, & so refreshing not to see lucas name on the team sheet. where the heck is are they now

lets see if they got things right of ridding rafa & playing exactly they way they prefer. really.
