I still remember when under rafa era, he always take a small note to write down the mistakes ( i think) and tactics and give out the instructions to the players, but Roy just wait there and watch the entire game like the rest of the spectators.
*
Yeah I remember that too. RH doesn't seem to do anything else but watch the game as if he's a spectator in the stands. I don't think he can manage a club as big as Liverpool. Or maybe his footballing style, tactics and formations don't suit the team but he's just too "blur" to realize that.

Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson: "I don't think he (Torres) is physically unfit. We don't have any injury problems with him. He got battered for his performances at the World Cup and mentally he is a bit low. He needs a goal to get his confidence back. I have no qualms with his performance against Everton. I don't feel it to be a crisis because the way we have played today I don't think anyone would believe that is the type of football of a team in the bottom three. I think we can consider ourselves unlucky."

Wow. Just wow.
*
Wow indeed. He doesn't believe that the team is playing atrocious football or maybe he's trying his best to be in denial. shakehead.gif
Sigh...I'm just praying for improvements on the pitch for the next few games now. Nowadays wanna watch highlights also my stress levels can't take it. Better off sleeping.

We can't be thinking about the Chelsea game yet. Every league game now is pretty huge since we are playing so badly and are in the relegation zone. Blackburn next and I'm just worried about the physical nature of Blackburn. They might just exploit our defensive frailties in the air next weekend. Seriously need to improve the defending. And of course the service to the forwards.

Managers like Hiddink, O' Neill, Scolari and even Klinsmann would have done a much better job than what Roy has achieved so far.

I heard Alan Curbishley is also hot favourite to replace Roy Hodson..

No disrespect to Alan, but no thanks. We've seen what a manager that has managed a mid-table team can do to us already.

QUOTE(messy @ Oct 18 2010, 10:26 PM)
honesty, liverpool have the quality players, except the manager

---------------torres-------------
cole--------gerrard--------kuyt
-------poulsen---meireles--------
konchesky-agger-skrtel-johnson
------------------reina--------------

with this formation for the first team i think liverpool can own many teams as well as barca.. But with this stupid manager, i just couldnt get it.. maybe we should buy a new quality defensvie midfielder and sell flop poulsen, buy a striker and one more left back.. Please hodgson, time is up! GAME OVER!!  icon_idea.gif

I disagree. We've played that formation for the past few games and it shows it's not working. Gerrard + Meireles in the middle is sufficient. We are playing too negatively when Lucas/Poulsen starts alongside Meireles. Kuyt is OK on the right flank but I'd prefer a pacey and strong winger like Jova/Babel. Cole is pacey but he kinda runs out of ideas and tries fancy stuff far too often.

5) Liverpool is already a crisis club...with these kinda fans, it will be even worse.

^ Wow, adding fuel to the burning rage within the Liverpool fans aren't you? Sorry, I gotta disagree with you. You don't see what the problem is. Even though it's only 8 games into the season, every sane Liverpool fan can see that the club is struggling to even score a goal, let alone win games. There's every reason for the fans to be upset. The club doesn't belong in the bottom 3 - not with the kind of players they have currently. The fans would be satisfied if the club was in the top 10 now because of the tough fixtures at the start, but to be 2nd from bottom is totally unacceptable. What's more unacceptable is the way the team is playing. Tactics more often than not has been very wrong. RH doesn't know how to get the best out of his crop of players. And the passion-less display in a derby game that day is a real cause of concern for every Liverpool fan. So if any fan of Liverpool that says it's still early days and there's little to worry about, sorry but I gotta say you people are living in denial.

Every game I say the same thing. I'm wishing for a drastic improvement in performance. Hopefully this time it happens against Napoli.

he is better than kochecky..

I wouldn't deny that but he gets injured far too often. Hopefully he won't get injured again this season. We certainly lack depth for LB position. Can't expect Agger/Carra to play that position whenever Konchesky is unavailable.

anyways time to add fuel to speculation;

Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres dropped from the Napoli clash.

They aren't injured. Then?
*
I'm sure he's resting both of them. He "claimed" that the priority this season is the league. Oh well... sweat.gif
