in previous optimizer, when u enable the app2sd option, it will also move the dalvik-cache from /data to your sdcard. dalvik-cache store application cache so that the app can be loaded faster.

i made a suggestion to navalynt to try moving the cache to internal partition instead, since we are not going to use ota update quite soon, so its ok to put the dalvik-cache into the unused /cache partition which has 100mb of free space. /data partition is used to store all the installed apps, so after the dalvik-cache moved, we should get around 40mb of free space for apps.

xt is actually quite a high-end android phone, of course apart from having 256mb ram tongue.gif

but to have it for less than 1.3k, it is damn cheap biggrin.gif

I think it's better to remove the link. You can find it on your own with google.

just a comment on the bootloader mode thing. how do you actually gonna hold the lock button + camera + volume and at the same time slotting the battery in?

actually you dont have to remove the battery. just switch off the phone then turn it back on with those 3 buttons combo.

or you can always use apps than can do that for you, for example Quick Boot.

yeah bootloader mode not working for quick boot. it went to fast boot bootloader instead, thats why rsdlite does not detect the phone.

if you flash to US sbf then confirm no data access from the start, because there is no apn settings for our telco.

currently on US sbf, experienced several power cycles and screen turned on (blinked) by itself for no apparent reason. not sure if this is caused by apps or the sbf itself.

i'm using a 4gb class 4 card right now and formatted to fat16 with 32k cluster size. video is acceptable but i will try recording some fast action video when i'm on my way home today.

technically you can remove jit from the phone. have a look at the optimizer script and see what has been done during jit installation, then reverse them. most probably removing some files from the system folder and modify the build.prop file. mind you that any mistake doing this could make the phone stuck at motorola boot logo thus require new flashing. always backup first biggrin.gif

Me also vote for russian sbf. But now i'm on american sbf, already did many changes now very malas to flash again. Sigh... probably until the next available sbf, hopefully when the frozen yogurt finally comes.

i think the problem with the screen coming up out of nowhere is caused by the beautiful widget interval update. once i removed the weather widget from the home screen, no more issue.
