On last week game against Sunderland, the defense fought really hard but the attack is really poor.

Against WBA is the total opposite doh.gif

What the heck happen to Koscielny today. If he is not fit, he should not play in the first place.
*
I'm not sure why is he being rated so high. I've only seen him play for Arsenal, in fact all of his game. I find him lack of confidence, struggling at times, and also often being caught. I don't think he's that good. Still think Almunia is a decent GK despite his mistakes today, but i don't think Arsenal's defensive line is ever good enough to win the league.

I'm surprised that both Rosicky and Wilshere were benched, and Diaby was partnering Song.

I agree that this is a wake up call for us, and the season is not over, but you need to understand this. Games like this we shouldn't be throwing points especially playing at home. I can tell you one thing, Arsenal is not going to win the title with the squad filled with injury prone players. I feel so disappointed with the result and performance. Next up Chelsea at SB. With Konshitty in the line up, i really have doubts !

The real problem lies on the defense not GK.

QUOTE(Angel of Deth @ Sep 26 2010, 01:37 AM)
but the 2nd West Brom goal should be a routine catch for any professional GK.
*
It was a mistake by Almunia. But where were the defending, or even the close up. Konscielny was just standing there rather than closing him down. I'll say for that goal, the root was Konscielny. But Almunia should have done better. If u ask me who's to blame for the 2nd, its definitely Konscielny.

No offense to the fans here, why do i have this "feeling" that our squad is not strong enough, not good enough to win the title. I don't know about you all, after i've watched Chelsea, united, City, i don't think the squad is as strong as them. I never had this feeling during the days of Henry, Bergkamp, Pires and Ljungberg. We lack of consistency, lack the mentality to win. Diaby went missing in the game, and it took Wenger 60+mins to realise that. I seriously think with the present of Wilshere and Rosicky would have change the game despite our poor defensive display.

Partly, i believe a lil on Wenger's fault on the line up against WBA. We were over confident, and this what happen.

If we ever had a football tournament for the injured between teams, Arsenal would win every game hands down. Not only do we have a constantly ample supply of injured players, we constantly have the best ones out injured too. *closing my eyes and trying to imagine Ramsey scoring a beautiful goal with his broken leg in said tournament..ooh*
*
We lack of physical present. By looking at it, BPL turns out to be more physical league compared to any other league. Our squad filled with injury prone players whistling.gif

Against Chelsea, both of our wing* backs (Fullbacks) will play an important role. Nulify chelsea's wingers to swing crosses. Che;sea's attacking strong point lies in their wing plays. If they manage to do that, Drogba can be stopped.

I am not so worry about Sagna side but on Clichy/Gibbs side will give me the chill  rclxub.gif

Clichy is a very good player, one of the best left back in the whole premiership. He shown that to us in his first two season before getting selected for France. He has to gain that confidence, concentration and the mentality back. Not just Clichy, Sagna too. No errors must come from this lad. I'll prefer Almunia over Fabski. Saving the penalty doesn't prove anything. He's lack of confidence when comes to big game, if we are to come back home with at least a point, i'll prefer Almunia.

We have a chance my Arsenal mates, don't fall into prediction made by others. It all depends on how much we want to win. When u believe in the players, thats where the self confidence rises. As a fan, we are one of the most important figure to show the optimism to the club and also players will start havin faith they would make a difference no matter how tough the opponent would be.

IMAGINE IF CESC,RVP,WALCOTT,TV,ALMUNIA(OPTIONAL) PLAYING ..
SPLASH!!

We'll still loose. Doesn't make any difference. Quality of the players Chelsea has was outstanding. Ancelotti came out with the right tactic, made it tight for Arsenal to breakdown. We have too many playmaker in the midfield, so few clinical finisher. Chamakh wasted the chances he had, we went back with nothing. I wonder the amount of work rate that we have to the goal scored is worth it ?
The squad filled with injury prone players while Chelsea has more physical balance to the squad.

I can tell you this honestly, with this squad, we don't have the strength to be champions. We need few more years perhaps, and that depends on the players patience to be in the club. It's really that obvious that we are inexperience in certain area. I give credit to Chelsea for playing tight in the middle, closing down every player as they can.
"7 points it is, and season still long to go", that's just an excuse most of us use to deny the fact that we are not good enough. Losing at home to WBA , something which till today i can't accept, i believe most of us fans are. Thats shows where the squad mentality lies.

I'm optimistic about this club, they really showed alot of potential, but for now, not good enough to win the league. If we are to win something this season, it would be League cup or FA, not the premiership.

I've seen Arshavin in the last 3 games, and i hope he would do something tonight. In fact, he disappointed me, despite having 4 goals this season, he's on one of his offmonths. Thought we the tactics we had tonight, we could have used Vela instead of Chamakh. He has more pace and i think as far as i'm concern, he's the most clinical finisher at the club. With the through play tactic, thought he would be much more better utilized.

Right...all of a sudden, all our back-up keepers decided to be vocal...even though i don't blame them, i don't think it's a wise move either.. They probably think they could get the fans to put on some pressure on Le Boss... I doubt it's gonna affect him... But Szezczny did have some success, at least he's on the bench now
*
Well, i'm quite disappointed that Mannone was not given opportunity to play at least may be in the league cup or even fa cup. I'm not a fan of fabianski, i don't think he's good, and i rate Mannone an Szezczny above him based on what i've seen in the last 2-3 seasons. A lil lackluster display from Almunia and Fabianski thus giving opportunity for players like Manone using the media to relive his chances playing for the team.
