Hey guys, I'm thinking of getting the 64GB 4th Gen, wondering if it's really that beneficial if I JB-ed my iPod?
if you're heavy user with apps and music, go on.but if you're new and so-so just get the 32GB.

QUOTE(FADIL FLHR @ Jan 28 2012, 02:32 PM) Wow really? Didn't know that. I was thinking of getting an ipod touch 4g in the next few weeks and not planning to jail break it...I'm planning to get one with the latest OS. Am I able to jailbreak it then or will there be problems with the new OS? QUOTE(chew3344 @ Dec 27 2011, 06:30 PM) Haha i feel ya bro Where did you buy it and how much? I was looking around for it since last month. Before I get an ipod touch, is there anything I should know or not do? Such as not to install a certain apps because it will crash, not to open 2 apps at a time, or not to leave wifi on for too long, etc.... Yes you will be able to jailbreak it, there is no problem or whatsoever. but the latest OS which is 5.0.1 still have a bug where the battery life is not that good. as a starter, turn off the automatic brightness, and the location service. that should make the battery life a little bit better Not planning to jailbreak is such a waste, there is so many tweaks you can install. I honestly won't buy Apple's stuff if there's no jailbreak QUOTE(masterelr @ Jan 29 2012, 02:49 AM) Where did you buy it and how much? I was looking around for it since last month. If you're in a tight budget, you should probably head to Lowyat Garage Sale, under the subforum "Music & Accessories"Before I get an ipod touch, is there anything I should know or not do? Such as not to install a certain apps because it will crash, not to open 2 apps at a time, or not to leave wifi on for too long, etc.... A lot of guys selling 2nd hand ipod touch 4 for a decent price. About apps crashing and all, buy one, and you'll get the experience. But it's worth it. |

Thanks for the info. Getting a 2nd hand one is a bit risky so I'll get a new one instead. I wanted to get one more than a year ago but that never happened.. |

Getting a 2nd hand one is a bit risky so I'll get a new one instead. I wanted to get one more than a year ago but that never happened.. nice nice. my friend just bought one with engrave cost her around +/- 950 because apple store had discount that week QUOTE(budakdegilz @ Jan 29 2012, 04:12 PM) hi to all ipod touch otai... when you're buying a used ipodneed some advise here....if i'm going to buy 2nd/new ones.. what the "thing" i should look for?? means how to know all the item is as "original" as they stated always check for 1. cosmetic damage eg: dent, obvious scratches 2. try different setting of the ipod's brightness. 3. make sure there is no dead pixel on the screen 4. make sure speaker(when using earphone) and loudspeaker is functioning 5. home and lock button is responsive 6. wifi is usable this is the list of things to check that i could think of |

QUOTE(budakdegilz @ Jan 29 2012, 05:35 PM) thanks for the suggestion... hmmm..that one is quite difficult to differentiate. truthfully, original earphone sucks, so im using other brand.but one more thing how can i know the accesories (earphone & usb cable) are original?? not imitation/OEM?? because as my experience i do know "some" seller will change the original with imitation/OEM version (mostly in AP mobile industry) for the usb cable, you could check the logo on the jack that needs to be plugged to your ipod. mine after using it for 6 months hasn't faded yet, but my sister in law bought a cap ayam cable, and i can see that the logo is faded already. this is just from my observation, whether it is true or not i also don't know QUOTE(ddr3 @ Jan 29 2012, 08:44 PM) my ipod touch upgraden to ios 5.0.1 and JBroken, but now gt 1 prob, no sound at all, what should i do? I'm trying to JB the ipod touch (5.0.1) but redsnow keep telling that the ipsw version is not supported. I downloaded the ipsw from apple servers. I should be pointing it to the original firmware and not the custom ones right?
