got effect for my ipod?

can i just buy a 15ringgit cable from forumer?

is it safe?

i dropped my ipod 1 floor down and it SURVIVED without a scratch.

Hey guys, my ipod touch 4th gen, d glass on top has shattered. But the lcd is not affected at all. Do u know any shops that can repair? N how much does it usually cost?

mine fell in water... took out.. now after wen after a few days.. it on back after insert with the usb.. shows a red battery icon.. but dont seem to be charging..never autostart or detect i tunes... after awhile the whole thing become quite hot..so removed it..

what should i do next? can claim warranty by anychance? i bought via amazon so how to claim warranty?

Help i got a problem also. the battery on my ipod just runs out too quickly.

Why don't you check the Serial Number to see if it's within the warranty period? If it is, try consulting Apple for it. Well, it might cost you a bomb but no harm trying though.

how quickly is it? within 10mins? an hour? half day?

Might be due to the protective casing I am using. Although it's very ugly bu it's certainly tough!

guys..did any of you tried installing GSC app? i downloaded and installed via Apps Store, but i cant find the app anywhere....is this compatibility issue or what ?

edited: currently running on ios 4.3.2 jailbroken.

Just send it to service provider, I sent mine few months back.
Tey didn't know it was water damage and I was lucky enough to get a replacement

I don't think there is anything wrong with it. It's working fine for me.

3hrs for playing games, I think its ok ody.

Well.. When I got my iPod Touch 4th Gen I opt to get it via Apple's Online Store as I wanted to grab myself a piece with engraving.. And having the DHL van coming to my place to deliver me my iPod Touch was pretty exciting too.


On a side note... I reckon that the iPod series' warranty *should* be covered worldwide, so no qualms about the warranty there... But since I've bought mine online, I contacted Apple Singapore directly when there's any issues. Quite an interesting process though, and they actually sent a DHL courier van to my place to pick up my iPod Touch, send it back to Singapore, replace it for a spanking new unit, and back again to my home.


Undoubtedly you'd get better prices over at GS. Duwan put engraving for your girl girl ah?

The glass on top of the screen of the iPod Touch is pretty badly cracked. Anyone here have some suggestions on what to do?

and the time for charging using USB cable vs power plug is the same right?

My best friend finally returned my iPod Touch 3rd Gen after a year of holding on to it. (She always 'forgot' to bring it with her.)

Anyway, it's still running iOS 4.0. I'd like to update to 4.3.3. I have this one app that I purchased on the App Store 2 years ago, and as of now it is no longer available and has been removed from the App Store. It still works in my iPod Touch as it has been left undisturbed.

What I'd like to ask is, if I update my iPod Touch, will those 'extinct' apps be gone? E.g. when I sync it to iTunes?

You can just get a AC-USB adapter, use the USB cable, connect it to the adapter and charge from a wall plug. Charging time form a wall plug should be faster, as there'd be more current supplied than normal USB, though this will depend on how much current the adapter allows too.
