my itouch3G is version 3.1.3

if i wan to update it to ONLY 4.2.1 , is it possible , if yes how to do it cause if i were to update via itunes it will straight go to 4.3.x

and to JB 4.3.x is not stable yet

wanted to ask bout ipod touch 4th gen .

retail price for 8 and 32 gb is rm 800+(8),1000+(32gb)

but there are some other shop selling it at rm 750(8gb), 950 for 32 gb ?

they said got 1 year apple warranty ,one guy said its cheaper bcause its an old stock --meaning got new ipod or what ??
and other guy said its cheap because his rental of his shop is cheap .-.-

so is it trustable to buy the cheap one ?

if you bought new and sealed ipod you dont have to worry about the price.the price at the premium reseller wont drop unless new model is coming out. maybe its in their policy or something but as long it is original(never heard about fake ipod touch), if its new, the warranty must be worldwide, the waranty start after you register it online. its safe to buy the cheap one if its still sealed. and if you buy from forum, make sure its reputable seller or ask the seller for cod.

btw about the online warranty ,lets say if i buy the ipod then i register the warranty online after using it for around 5months ? so the warranty still have 7 month or 12 months?

You can't simply register which purchasing date you wish to. They will prompt you for the receipt of purchase.

Most likely the cheaper price iPods are the older 3rd generation old stocks...
