I have a question for the aspiring writers on lowyat.

Ever get that sudden flash of inspiration, that one moment of brilliance where you're on a roll, and you keep on writing and writing, every word falls in to place,every thought perfectly articulated on paper, emotion positively dripping from the pages, and you think "Oh god I'm a bloody genius. People should be begging me to let them read my written Word".

You stare at it in amazement, scanning through it again, and think "God I wrote this? I mean I thought I was good but I didn't know I was THIS good", and you walk away grinning like mad.

Then, after a day or two, you come back to read it and you think "God I wrote this? This sappy melodramatic sob fest? A angsty emo kid who wails about how life sucks could write better than this" , cringing at every sentence.

I get this feeling every single damn time. Is this normal? 0-o
