Hmm should have read this sooner, but I've already accepted an offer fr citigroup for AML. Was disappointed with the annual leave though. Was told 20 days by interviewer, but when I signed the offer letter was only 17 days... Anyone working there can give me a heads up of what its like? I'll be joining there end of this month. However for future career sake, citigroup is held in a higher regard compared to pb. Usually most big international corporations are. So if ur especially thinking of migrating in the future, citigroup would be the best choice.

And citibank is under citigroup, not the other way round

you were right in this particular SENTENCE... but if you read your offer letter... it is citigroup transaction services (M) sdn bhd that is hiring you... it's not the WHOLE CITIGROUP... so, this we call CTSM... it's under citibank MALAYSIA...

Rally? I thought ctsm would be a sub under citigroup instead of citibank?

Ahh ok, thanks. It'll look bad if I quit even before I started work there, I guess I'll stick around a year and see how it goes. Really deceptive when they advertise the position as corporate banking analyst sad.gif

Hey!! That's the same guy who did mine too lol
Well citigroup would look good on the resume I suppose, experience in a highly recognized international financial corporation is the main reason why I decided to accept anyway. Especially when I might be planning to migrate to Aus next time..

Hah really?? Which part of aus were u in? I was in queensland and the lifestyle there actually not that bad, quite relaxing. Working life there definitely better than here lor, unless ur the partying out all night type then maybe aus will be boring for u tongue.gif
I like to travel, so boredom doesn't really bother me in places where malls closes at 5-6pm smile.gif

I get quite racist towards Asians especially when I'm on the road in Msia too!! The feeling to bang their cars is there almost everyday...

well from what i've observed so far its like what lostwanderer said, though there is one guy in GCG who always hit his target and goes back at 6pm sharp lol.

the pay usually range from 2.4-2.5k for fresh grad, however if you had a previous job for a few months at 3k i'm sure u can negotiate for that amount too.

the AML department is expanding as well, another reason for many new hires. And even though i've been there for less than a month, i agree that the job isn't hard, just tedious and you have to be abit meticulous and cautious in ur work since if you mess up big time and the case you recommended for closure turned out to be highly suspicious, the bank can get fined up to 300+ mil. (quite rare though since there are 4 levels before the case get closed)
