Being a CITIBANKER once, I would say, Citibank is a great place to start your career in banking.

But again, it is all about your attitude and eagerness in learning and taking in as much knowledge as you can from the company.

Citibank is known for their meritocracy appraoch and if you can prove that you can take up more challenges and responsibilities, you could be on a fast track in climbing your career ladder.

HOWEVER, please be prepared for the long working hours. Their motto is "Work Hard, Play Hard", is very much true. Same goes as "Do it right the first time motto", with this, you must be prepared not to repeat the same mistake twice........as this would reflect bad on your credibility.

Also, I may also share, that Citibank is more open in term of letting the capable staff to be rotated between departments etc. Therefore you will learn more and your value would also increase.

This is why, CITIBANKERS is in great demand in the banking industry (the good ones YA!!!).

I spent 5 years in Citi and rose from AM level Q to Mgr within that time. I move to another local bank and carry the title AVP then and now a SM (VP level) at another local bank.

It is all about attitude and trust me, good thing would not come easy. "Working hard and dirty your hands shall give value to you in the future".
