6. There are some users here ordered from Apple Online Singapore with their Malaysian Credit cards and the order went through.
*Do note: If you use any CC below, it does not guarantee that your order went through
The cards that went through is: Hong Leong, Citibank and UOB [Malaysian CC] & American Express[US Based]

*There are times your order get stuck. There are 2 possible reason. I have stated the alternative as to what you can do if you face the problem.
a) Credit Card Company doesn't release your payment to apple. Alternative: You can change cards or cancel your order.
b) Apple suspect you using credit card from overseas. Alternative: You can cancel your order or send in your documents
*Sending in your documents does not guarantee your order will go through smile.gif

7. After you Order, you will get an Acknowledgement letter from Apple. Followed by a Shipping Notification with a 10 digit tracking number from DHL Singapore when your order is ship. Then an Invoice stating your order amount have been charged to the credit card.
*Apple will only hold your amount from your credit card when you order from the first time. They do not charge it straight away*
-You can check the Tracking number from: http://www.dhl.com.sg/en.html

8. Address. When you order, you must use a Singapore Address aka Shipping Address[Refer to Point 3]. The billing address can be the same as your Singapore address(If you use Malaysian CC or Amex-Us Based). The phone number, you can put your contact's number in Singapore(Singapore Number).
*How about Malaysian number? You can try to put that. But I can't guarantee you if Apple/DHL will call you due to overseas number. laugh.gif

If I use my Amex Charge Card to purchase, will it get through?  Just want to clarify.
*
A charge card is like a credit card. You have to pay your monthly bill every month. So the answer should be yes smile.gif
I can't guarantee you if the card will work 100%. Which Amex are you using? US based or Maybank one?

why still need to buy sg set since the local IP4 not much diff in price.
*
Because of the contract from local telco. smile.gif If you buy outright from maxis hotlink, you still have to pay for the data plan. I can say most of us doesn't need the plan from the local telco as we already have it. What is the point of having so many numbers. smile.gif

Hi all, for I4 ordered thru SG Apple Online store, can I just put in Singtel / Starhub / M1 sim card and surf net directly? Or need to configure the setting first?
*
You can use any sim card to surf the net. You need to activate the phone by plugging the phone to the pc/Mac. To activate the phone, you need to put a sim card in. So that means your singtel/M1/starhub tongue.gif

Why still need to buy from sg if you can get the phone with some extra amt from maxis. Beside the issue of waiting.
*
Why? Well mainly because of the waiting time. Secondly is the contract. For now I don't think you can buy outright from maxis/digi. If you can, you have to buy the phone at 100-200 ringgit more and sign a data plan for extra 30-40 ringgit for the next few months. Those who buy their phones from sg already have a data/call plan. smile.gif no point spending the extra money on unnecessary plans.

Mean if in Malaysia, I just put in Malaysia sim card, then activate the phone again and I'll be able to surf right away?
*
Yes. You just put your Malaysian sim card into the phone and activate it. It is official unlock so it must accept all the sim card from around the world. smile.gif

@garykarhou: I have heard people buying phones in Singapore and using in Malaysia but not buy in Malaysia and use in Singapore. Phones in Singapore are relatively cheaper. smile.gif for your question, the answer is yes. smile.gif You can use phones from Malaysia and put in a SG sim

Thanks all. But for internet setting, do I need to do any configuration? Or I can surf directly after putting in sim card?
*
It will auto configure for you when you put in your sim. You don't have to worry. Remember to update your carrier settings if there is a small notification smile.gif Just click update and you are good to go. tongue.gif
