You can download the case application in advance and wait for you iPhone. To claim the case, install the case application on the iPhone with iTunes. You need an internet connection Wifi or 3G to choose your case on the iPhone 4. After selecting the case you want, the app will ask for your iTunes login ID and password and the case will be shipped to the shipping address tied to the account. Just attempt to claim the case & if you try claiming after the eligible period I think the case application will tell you the promotion has expired. I am suspecting any phones manufactured before & during September is eligible to claim the case as the application will check the phone's information before allowing the claiming process to proceed.
*
If apple free case no longer available after 30 sept, then I'm not able to claim for free case sad.gif
I think they should allow those who ordered their phone before 30 sept to get free case, instead of depending on receive status.

4. The GST Refund will have an administrative fees of SGD25 for my case. I think it's certain % of total GST refundable.
*
Hmm, iphone 4 16G GST is $58.09, after deduct admin fee we only can get back around $33.
Anyway, did you call 1800-MY-APPLE for GST rebate?

Why still need to buy from sg if you can get the phone with some extra amt from maxis. Beside the issue of waiting.
*
Simple, I don't need the 12/24 months contract and I'm planning to move over to SG next year smile.gif

QUOTE(azrinarizz @ Oct 7 2010, 07:57 AM)
You can use any sim card to surf the net. You need to activate the phone by plugging the phone to the pc/Mac. To activate the phone, you need to put a sim card in. So that means your singtel/M1/starhub tongue.gif
*
Mean if in Malaysia, I just put in Malaysia sim card, then activate the phone again and I'll be able to surf right away?

You don't have to activate the one again. Just change the sim and done!
*
QUOTE(azrinarizz @ Oct 9 2010, 08:58 AM)
Yes. You just put your Malaysian sim card into the phone and activate it. It is official unlock so it must accept all the sim card from around the world. smile.gif

@garykarhou: I have heard people buying phones in Singapore and using in Malaysia but not buy in Malaysia and use in Singapore. Phones in Singapore are relatively cheaper. smile.gif for your question, the answer is yes. smile.gif You can use phones from Malaysia and put in a SG sim
*
Thanks all. But for internet setting, do I need to do any configuration? Or I can surf directly after putting in sim card?

You need to connect to iTunes to install the application and log into your iTunes account when you launch the application in your iPhone4. The whole process order will be completed on your iPhone 4 but you need an iTunes account that supports the application like a Singapore account. The Malaysian iTunes does not have the free case application thus you cannot order the case with a Malaysian account  wink.gif

Thanks bro smile.gif
Getting my iphone this thu... hope can still download the free case app and claim one...

Oh ya, is this the right step to sync iphone with multiple PCs?

Singapore exchange rate is sky rocketing. Probably cheaper to get it in msia, unless u go get it urself and claim the 7% gst.

*
I ordered my I4 on 21st of Sept, then collected it last week.
I still able to claim for free casing (but Apple bumper is not in the list anymore), the case will deliver to my friend within this week.

Their call centre is understaffed, therefore, extremely difficult to cope with the volume.

My calls to them usually 30-60 minutes, 80% is waiting time...

Luckily i'm using skype whistling.gif
*
Thats why I gave up calling them... hopeless... tried to call many times but never get through... sad.gif
Anyway guess I'm not able to claim back my GST...

Hi all, my SG set phone home button is not responsive, and I heard if we take to service center they will replace refurbished set. Is it possible to get them fix it instead of replacing a refurbished set?

Thanks.
