I have a blue PS3 (HK version) stating 220 - 240V in the back.. and i will be bringing it over to Japan which is using 110V... will it work?

I read some article all PS3 slim is 100 - 240V?

Im currently using my ps3 on my PC monitor.

I already had a switch for Display. but for audio, I only have 1 speaker.

i had to unplug the audio cable and plug to PC again every time i finished using my PS3...

Trying to find a permanent solution here...

So any way of using 1 speaker simultaneously with PC and PS3?

or a switch perhaps? where can i buy these....?

i tried backup and restore. after restore my games save not useable. that means even i backup on my old fat ps3 and restore on new slim ps3 ..game save also not useable

Hi guys, I am looking to buy a PS3. I've got a computer LCD Monitor, bought few months back only. I think it's got a HDMI input. So I just buy a DVI-HDMI cable for the ps3 and it's all good? Do I need that? normal DVI cable cannot? And also, how do I get sound? Can I buy a computer speaker also? Cause the monitor also seem to have a audio 3.5mm slot.

Just owned a ps3 here. Was wondering whether there's any advantage to let our unit stand vertical? And will this affect the life span of the lens etc? Can't find much info from the manual. And should the usb side be closer to the floor or other way round when standing? Thanks

i already did all the steps below but still im unable to upgrade my hdd.
please correct me where did i go wrong.. or show me the right way to do it.
or.. perhaps im asking for help in a wrong thread?
1. format backing hdd to fat32
2. format my new 500gb hdd to fat32
3. back up my ps3 data to my backing hdd
4. replace original hdd with new 500gb formatted with fat32
5. format thumbdrive to fat32
6. download update firmware 3.55 to that formatted thumb drive.
    -i made a new folder PS3(capital letters)>another folder in it=UPDATE(all
    capital letters)>PS3Updat.PUP.
7. connect controller & thumbdrive to ps3.
8. start console & press start and select.
9. this message keep showing..
  "no applicable update was found.
    connect storage media that contains update data or version
    3.55 or later, and then press START and SELECT buttons at the same time."

*my ps3 is the fat80gb one(no backward compatibility)

yeah!!
i did it finally. 

i did re-download the FW update but this time via sony(asia) malaysia site.
what i did before was just google ps3 update 3.55 & click/download the 1st site i saw..  big mistake!

after i installed the update data to my thumb drive, my ps3 immediately able to read it. so my upgrading process was pretty much successful after that. but it took quite too long to get done.

hey guys, i found out that my ps3 backside is a bit hot. it is where the hot air come out. do i need to buy the fan or something?

2009 ps3 price drop already. if you bought your ps3 in 2007, it will probably cost more then 2K and that don't include game and another ds3.
