3G on the Kindle is provided by AT&T. AT&T as far as i know dont have a proper 'deal' with any of our local telco's for roaming, hence, they would want to minimize this as best they can. Roaming charges is not cheap and since Amazon is absorbing these and in some effect AT&T as well, thats the reason for the 3G limitation. There's none strangely in Singapore or Thailand though, but its a hit and miss.

Had some unfortunate problems accessing the net from behind a firewall where I worked, can only view Forums but not reply publicly and only able to do so from PM messages. Temporarily solved for now.

Perhaps you may want to consider getting Lego Technics models thats not already available here, that way youll have a better sort of value for the shipping cost youve paid for

It's also not considering that those items are sent via normal USPS instead of either DHL, Fedex or UPS that I'm using.
