What exactly happen at Maxis KLCC is that too many people goes there and the staff stop issuing queue number as early as 930AM!

So what happens next is they accept application form from customer and give manual numbering to each application. When queues starts clearing up, they will call the customer to get their ticket for queues. I was told they start calling when the queue get below 15.

Also, because they receive a lot of application, they stop accepting from as early as 1PM. By that time they already have 150 people waiting to be called. They are not limited by their stock, rather than their centre ability to handle around 200-250 iphone customer every day.

So I probed further, it seems like this happens because the delay is caused by some customer changing their plans or phone when they get to the counter. Or when they want to pay by credit card only to found out they have exceeded their CL, so they have to run out to withdraw cash.

But it's really frustrating. It seems like Maxis KLCC will keep on using this first come first serve basis and they won't accept any booking.

Anyways, I heard that it's possible to buy outright without contract from MACHINES. Can someone confirm this?

Correction. As for EPP, Maxis KLCC does not accept CIMB CC anymore. There seems to be a problem from 26th Sept already. But you can use CIMB CC for one lump sum payment for the iphone.
