According to my friend who now at Sunway MC, outright purchases are allowed.

I wonder if there is still plenty of 32gb, why can't they deliver some of it to Ipoh maxis centre?

hopefully when i go there the officer in the mc wont keep the fon quietly n tell me there is no stock....

maxis's website states that RSP is 2290 but can we really buy the phone only at maxis centre? read all the post got confused already..

even @ RM 3099, the store owner said that only two unit left..... 

went to selayang mc, it closed...opened till 5.30pm only 
then went to the curve mc....no stock...even 32gb.... 

will try to go to selayang mc again tomolo morning...

Went to kepong MC this evening. No stock they said need wait 2 months. I straight turn away and go.. They dint seems like to serve.. Don't even put on waiting list..

well, i went to ss2 maxis branch to ask about plans and how to switch number and lines etc but the service is so slow that i fedup with it (seems the whole place, 2 counter is opened and they are just plain slow)
went to e@curve then to make my enquiries, viola, was told got stock - immediately took mine without question 
so guys do pop up at the branches and you may get surprises.
well stock for today at e@curve is gone now i think, maybe u guys can ask when is the next batch 
still waiting for the sim card to be activated ..

no need. u can juz buy an iphone with a hotlink plan (continue using ur same number, on new microSIM of course). they give you 500mb free data so as to encourage you to stick with maxis instead of using it on other networks

but ya, not all maxis CS allows buying outright.
