I went there around 10, but there already almost 20 people in queue but it seems gardens has many stocks.
I got mine at 11.30, don't know whether there are still iphone left.

It's funny how customers who pre booked by leaving their details never get calls from Maxis but walk-in customers got served first. Hmm......flaws flaws flaws

I did the same thing. Left my name at Tmn Segar, Gardens and KLCC all in one day. But have to look from their perspective, who do they priortize - people who just leave their names all over the place and just stay at home waiting or people who come in early and willing to wait in line and then willing also to come back again after a few hours to pick up the phone. Just a thought. :-)

Yesterday after work, I went to Gardens to buy the phone outright. The guy told me that if I want to buy outright, I should wait for Monday. I'm not going to listen to him and would be queueing up on Saturday to get it.

How is the warranty from Maxis? I'm getting another one from Maxis because DiGi does not sell outright, while Machines, MacStudio, MacCity, etc. already ran out of stocks for the 32GB iPhone 4. I need to know Maxis' from the people that has it because one of my friend says he had bad experience with Maxis warranty when buying outright. My iPhone 4 is from DiGi and the fellow told me it is the same as Apple - that they would send to Apple for any defect repairs - thus, if Maxis warranty is the same, there shouldn't be any problem.

my fren went to klcc just now, the staff said no more iphone for tomorrow, ask him to write down his name & number then wait for 3 weeks (somemore the staff said "guarantee can get").

anyone got any idea which branch of maxis still available for iphone no matter 16 gb or 32 gb.. and is it really necessary to bring the principle lines registration ppl along.. or only just tell them to upgrade the contract it is done.. cos i am on my suppliment line...

Any updates in Gardens? I wanted to buy ip4 on 1 of those launching days but failed to purchase as the stocks are finished and i was left no choice but to  write my name and contact on Sunday noon and yet to receive any calls from them till today. It seems like ordering is not the fastest option where else we have to queue up right after the stores are open in the morning? Even so we are not guaranteed to know how many units are available due to the crowd? So which means those who ordered dont even stand a chance if ppl who walk-in dont even get the phone what more for those who ordered?

just wanna make final confirmation before i go to maxis center @garden tomorrow, they are selling iphone 4 with prepaid plan with no additional T&C (ex:first set should come with plan and second set just can come with prepaid)?

here we go

arrived 9.30 am
rep went out announce they'll take only 30 people for walk-in, and the rest is already booked to customers who register on the launch day.
i am the last person who got lucky to be in the queue for the walk in. so i suggest those who want to go tommorow, u need to be there before 9.30a.m just to be safe.

anyway, the process was the same as almost all maxis center i suppose, they asked you to fill up the form, then ask for your phone number so they can call you when your turn is up. after waited around 7 long hours (of course i spent most of my time window shopping at midvalley lol) ithey called me at 3.15 p.m. and i got my iphone 32gb with prepaid plan and free 500mb data plan for 1 year.
tips

1) go early, as early as you can, since it can greatly reduced your wait time lol
2) existing customer really speed up the process. I suggest if you are not existing customer, please port in before you queue tomorrow or you'll have to wait longer, much longer.
3) keep checking in at the maxis center what was the current queue number. I checked at 1.15 p.m. the queue was at 15, which was half way through, but then they called me at 3.15p.m to collect my iphone, while i am number 30! my point is, their process time vary greatly, so you really can't estimate when you can get the iphone.
4) don't go too far from the maxis center. best place to loiter is at the ground floor, where they have nice couch, or just go to borders, where you can loiter around and read the books there for free lol. reason to stay close is, they usually call several people at once, so if you were there first, u get your iphone first la.
5) yes you can buy the iphone outright, and get it with prepaid, but to speed up the process, get the prepaid pack earlier. the free 500mb data plan availibility is uncertain. Coz when the repm wanted to do it for me, the system reject it and the rep told me couldn't get the free data plan anymore. then after asking the rep to keep trying, the rep finally manage to get it for me. so they might be able to help you or they might not.
thats all i got. hope this will help any of you to get your iphone soon:)
