I remember in SC1 we can start a game 2 players controlling 1 team, means in SC1, 2 players start with the same nexus, few probes, and the 2 players basically sharing the same base, but there are 2 mouse focus, u can know when your partner selected a unit or building.
That is how i start with SC1, I remember I was still a noob and a friend was already quite good at it, so i team up with another friend, challenged him, basically i do all the base management, mining/tech/produce units, and then my partner take over the unit and micro them, and we 2 able to beat him cause we did our job really well, even we arent really good at the game, i manage to keep expanding after base got wiped out clean and keep alive, and my partner who 100% concentrating his control into every single unit.
I am looking for this feature, i believe it was called "team" in SC1, is it still available ?

There is still many feature which we are missing and shouldn't have gone missing from SC1.
Watching replay together is so much fun, worse is the absent of chat room, playing feels so lonely now. Without a community and only limited friends known playing it for sometime..

Well, SC2 don't requires that much APM, so 2 ppl controlling 2 base is still ok. 1 guy micro armies, the other manage resources and macro. Always do that during 2v2 hmm one thing about that, i havent really look into it regardless: could you keybind resource trade window? lol cuz manually clicking it in the far corner of ur screen (worse when ur on big reso screens like 1920x1080 lol) is just slow and inconvenient. Not too sure myself, I don't actually use the resource trade too often. Yeah I feel you man, especially on 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Yeah I feel you man, especially on 1920 x 1080 resolution. to do what you said more efficiently, the other guy has to pool resources for the "builder"or macroer. then the other guy just micro uber units haha. but ugh, on high level play (like 2v2 diamond), you just well... cant really do that lol. you need another good micro'er in the battlefield too

well, perhaps, in the future, a patch may reintroduce this sc1 feature into sc2.
4 players 1 base vs 4 players 1 base would be something different, eh?
imagine, with 4 different colored selection circles indicating which unit your allies selected, with 4 players, the starting probes might have a chance to work on different mineral patches faster.
there might be battles not normally seen in normal 1 player 1 base vs 1 player 1 bases matches.
3 players may be attacking together from 3 different areas while the 4th player focus on base management, training new units etc.

Share Control wont cut it because 1) u cant see your ally's mineral, resource and suppy 2) you can't spend your ally's resources :-/
Though i believe this is very much possible via a custom map. Any expert here wanna give it a try?
