32" full hd Philips going for RM1,499 in Tesco.
42" Panasonic plasma X28 going for RM1999 or below.
32" Panasonic X20 and Toshiba 700E less than RM1199....

Do you think the price will drop further?

why cheap? coz old stock.

still expensive bro....with tat $$ u can get a realllllllll good LCD in Korea....currently we pay a premium price for low-end product....

It will drop but very slow because these prices are at it's best price of offering lowest price. Perhaps these stuff are old stock. that's why they are cheap kua.

There is serious inventory issues in the channels. Even 32" LED is in excess. TFT players will only breakeven in 4Q after having an incredible 2Q. Utilisation now is running at 80% or may even lower

Christmas is coming soon.. probably price will increase nearer to Christmas?

Simple, because previously their earn too much (profit margin) and now production cost is cheaper compared to previously and now lot of competitors.

Prices likely to be weak next 6 months as there is no sports event catalyst but I think Christmas is a good enough time to buy on the cheap for non 3D

you call that cheap? if you compare that with other countries, you'll know that we're actually paying a lot more money and yet getting a lower spec model.
