I will be coming for the next session as i have taken leave on Sat. So i shouldnt need to be in the office unless they have a Priority 1 Critical Problem.

its good to see that SMM is doing a lot of tournaments to promote DotA, good for the community however it's actually sucky to see the kind of people who join those tournaments....

it might be just a 2 digit figure but it's a remarkable progress!!!! but tournaments are needed to sustain it in the long run.
anyway, SMM is currently milking it's cash cow but it's not something for the long run. it wont last and i hope that DoW can last. and for tat....

Well, generally a community will stand if it has supporters that support the game. I believe the success of this community is due to members like Redeye, Johnnycp, Waba and many others that dont always post but actively promote DOW to others in the real world. Its because of such members who believe about the greatness and the addicitiveness that this game offers that DOW is alive for so long.
This community will still go on, since relic is actively supporting the DOW community online. As long as we have dev that also listens to the community and also does good things for it, there will always be players for DOW.
Tourneys will serve its purpose of keeping this game alive in the local countries. Tourneys help in increasing the numbers of players in the game and that is also a very important acpect.
Well for me, i will always be here to support this game as i believe this game has paved the way for our RTS games should be played. DOW has acknowledged that there are RTS gamers out there that want their games to be addictive and extremely dedicated to strategic gameplay.
This game will only see its end, if the devs stop to support the game with patches and improvements to it. Thats my 2 cents worth.

Let's make a comparison,
DotA comes with a very direct and easy playstyle, just level up and equipped your hero well and pawn your opponents, just like most of the MMORPG out there. DoW, complicated game. Not really noob friendly, eventhough you are an RTS expert as this game itself is a revolution to the RTS game. It changed from the traditional harvest, build and attack to cap point and attack all the way. Moreover, I found it quite hard to understand every bit of the environment of this game (unless you are a die hard fan of Warhammer 40k) as most of the units in the game are speaking "ancient" language which is quite hard to be understood if you are not really good in English.
In terms of business POV, definately DotA is the way to go as your target market is bigger than every game out there. What I would like to emphasize is that, there's no right nor wrong for dota existence. Just bear with it and think of better way to improve DoW community.
Well, we are all here to improve DOW. I think in a way we are the Malaysian Chapter....the only difference is that we have a SM chapter, Chaos chapter, Ork Horde, Eldar Craftworld, IG regiment and soon to come a Necron Tomb and a Tau Caste all in one in this Malaysian Chapter.

Well the BM in Tech 2 i found to be only good for shooting in a shoota boyz squad or disrupting squads by himself. He cant hold the ground when zerkers are out. I tried alot of times by playing LAN games with a friend of mine.

the tournament not just for a few of us, it is about 32players or 16 team. so if they can beat into top10, not bad for them also. plus, we have general waba, brother captain redeye and warboss Hunt to teach the new comer playing in better way. Forget about johnnycp, he's da biggest ork noob ever. if i really want to participate in the tourney, maybe i will relearn SM or Chaos or maybe eldar. Orks just too hard to play, cant really master the full power of WAAAGH!.
Johnny, you are a helluva Ork champion now.....ive been in one corner of the galaxy that my strats may be quite outdated nowadays.....I can help the new recruits to be trained for Ork warfare....but they will sign up with you to join the WAAAAGHHHHH against other Pro players out there......

Dude.....with IG like this u need a combination of Storm boyz and Shootas .....Sluggas are purely used to harass the enemy away from the Shoota boyz.
Well for Orks its difficult at T1 to fight with IG good players. They can really old their ground.
I so need to get myself waging war online.
