To batman,
I used to be a dslr user, so fast focusing is nothing new to me. To me, x100 is not an action camera. Its slightly slower than normal. This camera is all about adaptation. Quite frankly, user need to adapt to its weaknesses. Those who enjoy this camera is those who, understood and enjoy the learning curve. Zone focusing will help to focus faster, to a certain extend, the ae/al button is more useful than d auto focus. And to tell u d truth. I learned about zone focusing and focus with ae/al through this camera. as for your query on whether u should get x100 or not. Firstly, x100 with apsc sensor, I certainly prefer bigger. The main deciding factor is d focal length, do u need wider or longer? Anyway, I would advise u to hold on with d purchase first. X100s on the way and its either u can get the new x100s which promise faster af and processor or u can wait till x100 price down. This post has been edited by hidden830726: Jan 18 2013, 11:03 PM |

QUOTE(Anassaif @ Jan 19 2013, 03:25 PM) thanks everyone. I appreciate all thought that you guys give.I walk in to Lowyat a few times to test it out and survey the camera, but It's not a fair judgement right to test it just for 5-10 minutes.haha. I bet all of you really happy X100 user right? so clearly this "slow focusing thingy" is just a minor problem for all of you? actually I have fujifilm X10. just bought it 2 weeks ago (my dad own it actually.hihi ).I dont have any problem outdoor , I really admire the silent leaf shutter which is sooo good.but sometimes , Im having difficulty to deal with it indoor.(already shift to macro or suepr macro mode) havent try X10, so cant comment much. Is X10 focusing speed comparable to X100?Is it actually at about the same? as I already tested the X10. As mentioned here, sugget u to test the camera 1st. |

QUOTE(lamjunrong @ Feb 4 2013, 08:46 AM) all fuji sifu, i currently being poisoned by IT fair yesterday in midvalley using fuji xpro1 and x100, and i would like to get one for street photography...wonder which has better price to performance ratio...(thinking of dumping GF3 and grab one of these) hahaha self poison, anyway, X100 in a very good price atm, u could:one thing i notice on x100 is the aperture blade then to be sticky (heard lot of ppl complain bout it) and does it affect performance when in like burst mode? just want some suggestion to help my decision on x100 or the more expensive xpro1, and i prefer optical viewfinder so not considering the XE-1...thanks by the way 1) Wait X100s and get X100s if budget allow 2) Wait X100s and get X100, with hope that X100 price will further drop 3) Buy X100 now and enjoy. QUOTE(lamjunrong @ Feb 4 2013, 08:31 PM) but now i am thinking should i put this money into X100 or xpro1... Depends what u wanna shot, to me, X100 / s good enough, i dont need to zoom for what i wanted toshoot atm, if u cant decide yet what u wanna shoot, off course Xpro1 or XE1 suits u betterother than xpro1 is interchangeable, any pro and cons from choosing this two camera? really like the 35mm 1.4 lens wonder izit worth getting a second hand 1 year old x100 around 2.3k? ![]() ![]() ![]() |
