QUOTE(dugung76 @ Dec 30 2012, 01:49 AM) The same.. I just don't get it unless i turn to Auto focus then it turn out ok. So problem with manual focus, k, how u manual focus? u use the focus ring? Do you try the AEL/AFL button?p/s Love all your photos Hidden.. they are wonderful. MF-> press AEL/AFL button and focus.. u try that before? IMO, X100 focus ring is too clumsy to use. Just use the AEL/AFL button. Nowadays i shot X100 use MF, seldom use AF already. and to focus fast AEL/AFL button come to help. It blur sometimes, but might not be due to camera, it could be... 1) your hand shake, or u press shutter too hard 2) Subject move So, to avoid 1 and 2, set shutter speed at least 1/60 and above, 1/125 even better to avoid 2 MF should be sharp enough as long as your distance to the subject never change |

Press the AEL/AFL button once while in MF mode and it should get focus.
If it dont work Check the setting menu: AE/AF lock mode = on/off switch * AE/AF lock button = AF-L |

Added on January 5, 2013, 12:24 pm X100s ![]() X20 » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE Digicame-info published the first leaked images of the Fujifilm X100s and X20 camera. As I reported yesterday, the camera will be available also in silver (similar to the X100). In the mean time, I received some more details on the two new Fuji cameras: Similar to the X20, the X100 and X100s will be identical on the outside. The X100s will have a new function called Digital Split Image function (used to improve focusing). The X100s will have the new 0.5 in, 2,360,000 dots OLED viewfinder (same as inside the X-E1), the X100 had a 0.47 in, 1,440,000 dots EVF. Both X100s and X20 will have focus peaking Both X100 and X20 will have hybrid AF (contrast and phase detection AF)! Both new models will have improved/faster AF. The X20 is now also getting a new X-Trans sensors. Read more on PhotoRumors.com: http://photorumors.com/2013/01/04/more-fuj.../#ixzz2H4VevfiJ |

QUOTE(velma @ Jan 7 2013, 11:32 PM) i wonder how u guys with x100(im one of u guys) feel about this upcoming x100s. do u really need to wait for it? or better wait for the next model after x100s, by that time i think its nearly perfect. so should i sell my x100 and wait for it? i don't think so. no point going tru all the spec sheet again and again. just go get urself a x100 now and if x100s is really so damn amazing then u can get urself another one. simple as that. i bought my x100 just because it look so damn retro and from then i start learning photography until now. well, im one who own X100. Very happy with it. A demanding but fruitful camera. hmm, X100 to me, its classic, its the 1st of its kind and will definitely stay with me. Never thought of selling mine even if im gonna upgrade. In fact, i sold off all my Nikon system and remain with only X100. Spec wise, sure tempted with X100S. Agreed with what u said, maybe waiting for next model after x100S will be better. The Better processor, better sensor, better focusing, better startup time, less shutter lag, will only help you get more good picture, by the end of the day, X100 also manage to get good picture, just a little bit harder. Why many love and hate X100, because its hard to master, but once mastered, you nail quality photos, thats satisfaction. In sum, i will get X100S if budget allow and keep x100 as backup |
