if a phone is using v50 fw, can flash directly to v51 cfw? i didn't know that.

Added on December 1, 2010, 1:51 am
the 3x4 or 4x5 is the grid number and position for icons 'Colums x Rows'
*
Why not? Just flash it with v51 base files directly.
What you guys meant is flashing to v51 original firmware before moving on to CFW right?

geez.... move your music files to Sound Files > Music in your memory card.
Upakul changed the directory for easier music management and faster refreshing...He stated it on his FAQ... read it before flashing.

What do you mean by 3 other core file?
I've download from navifirm and Make the pheonix\RM-356 folder

@Forgotten06

Which one should I put in the pheonix\RM-356 folder?
CFW or the ones I downloaded from navifirm?
*
Actually both. But the CFW core files you downloaded must be renamed (depends on the CFW... they should have a renaming guide FAQ at their sharing site) and then you combine with the FW u downloaded from navifirm.

Bro, screenshots aside, I would like to know what are the extra features available for the CFW. I guess everyone here would like to know it before trying the CFW...

My friend faced some problems when she sent her phone for warranty claim...
Her phone was okay at first, but the technicians accidentally damaged her motherboard and they refused to replace a new one. Instead of that they offered to trade in her phone. Kinda unsatisfied experience huh?

Hi all, pardon me for a noob question... I have read the forum and roughly understood how to flash the cfw using JAF... but seems that there is a pre-requisite to upgrade to original FW of v51 first right? The issue here is that I can only see v52 OTA and I am running v40 right now... Appreciate any advice on this... Thanks very much  biggrin.gif
*
Just download v51 firmware using Navifirm.

U will  brick ur phone..but u can revive it back by flashing back your phone wif original firmware(ofw)..

In some cases where you really messed up your phone... the only way is to recover through JAF Box (which cost quite abit)

My goodness, RAM is not everything, you'll have to take in processor, graphics chip in consideration.... And last but not least, the battery life wouldnt last a day after adding all these monstrous hardware.

Sometimes it doesnt hurt to try out other platform.... Dont go around and say they fail or something. It has their own reason why android has such success in worldwide level.

Lol, then my post above about the mistake is actually not a mistake =.=

1. Extract the .zip file.
2. Copy the folder inside the .zip to your Skins12 folder (depends on whether you installed in Phone Memory or Mass Memory,) it can be:
i. C:/data/SlideUnlock/Skins12
ii. E:/data/SlideUnlock/Skins12
Whichever issit, you just paste it into Skins12

BTW, any1 tried this?

*
tried that app, looks fresh but super buggy and battery drainer
