Looking at your screen capture, I assumed such cos can see paid apps in the market list. Normally we only see free apps.
Will try later.

What is usb driver or camera kit for?
Are you mistaken with ipad kit? QUOTE(rahuldave @ Dec 17 2010, 04:20 PM) Bought my Galaxy Tab 16gb and using it for a week Really like it except that I cant connect USB Driver to it. I have seen some site stating that USB Camera Kit will be available for Samsung Galaxy Tab, can anyone (Would be better if someone from Samsung Malaysia) confirm this? When is the Keyboard and TV Out cable going to arrive in Malaysia? Would just love to have it |

Seems like newspaper has announced release of more budget android and windows tablets ... 7" and 10" One of it is ZTE - The V9 is powered by the Qualcomm MSM7227. It comes with a 7-inch TFT touchscreen rated at 800 x 480 pixels, 512MB ROM + 512MB RAM, 3-megapixel camera, FM radio, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, DOCs to go(Word, Excel, Powerpoint, PDF), and up to 32GBs in the microSD slot. What is interesting is that the V9 has a SIM card slot, so you can use the tablet for voice calls. Price at rm1000 ! |

Curious to know why you said SGT is better than netbook for those functions. The only thing that SGT is better is it's 7" portable and lighter. Anything that involves typing and mouse clicking on the netbook is definitely better and faster than SGT. Can never replace keyboard and mouse/cursor speed and convenience. Think that's normal for mobilephone gps. Need to lock the position first before going indoors/car. It's faster lock-in if using data plan. |

I tried using the standard SGT MAPS app in the house and manage to lock my coordinates, using wifi connection. But the lock-in was not accurate, it locked into the next housing area instead Not sure about papago .... never download that yet. |

Why everyone so scared of maxis? Just use apps or phone packet info to track usage. If bill is more than the tracking, then can dispute with maxis. For other telco, if they cap your speed even though you didn't reach the quota, you let them without dispute? QUOTE(keteputih @ Dec 24 2010, 02:53 PM) |

If your watchdog app was running in background all the time (including when your info/widget/background/sync is active), then there shouldn't be such a big difference. 750mb vs 3gb is definitely arguable.
If you don't argue this case all the way, you will forever be scared. I wonder how maxis proves that they are correct. QUOTE(keteputih @ Dec 24 2010, 03:54 PM) using a 3G watchdog to track usage...and bill also stated 750MB usage last month...I'm subscribe 3GB...but still charge for over quota... This post has been edited by laowai: Dec 24 2010, 05:25 PMalready call and call and email them but the reply is....the charges is valid and we will call you...and still no feedback until today...case open on 15th dec |

Yep, firmware upgrade does not delete apps and files.
QUOTE(sleepwalker @ Dec 28 2010, 08:54 AM) Found out that it was my antivirus causing the connection issue. I disabled it and KIES managed to update the firmware in 15 mins.. Funny thing is that I decided not to back up anything but after the upgrade and reboot, all my data, settings, apps, games and vid is still there. I thought it suppose to wipe the device. I checked the firmware and it was all JM versions. |

Application/games are up to individual preference. In fact, the standard apps that comes installed in the SGT, are more than sufficient for video/ebook/document/mp3/browser. Anyway, the market is filled with free apps/games for you to try. As for battery, it depends on what you have activated eg. background/info/widget update, 3g/wifi, gps, live wallpaper, phone, etc. QUOTE(marzuki75 @ Jan 2 2011, 06:53 PM) |

Not sure what you mean. Of course, the SD contents can be used by the SGT eg. ebook, movie, pictures, etc.... otherwise, what would be use of plugging sd card wor. |

IMO, if any device is working properly, don't touch it. Not broken, don't fix it. Unless the benefits are like gingerbread, then maybe risk it. QUOTE(arbelnox @ Jan 19 2011, 07:32 AM) @ Uncle Benny and Bro naTTAN I thought that Tab currently doesn't have any custom ROM, does it? Though I heard about Cyanogen project for Tab is being passing around in the forum but haven't see any custom ROM being made yet other than flashing to other region. May I know the benefits of flashing to other region's ROM? I'm aware of the US Tab doesn't have Phone Call Capabilities so that's why they are flashing to the Euro Tab. Since that we have all the functions, is it worth the hassle to flash to other region ROM? I haven't root my Tab yet unless there are custom ROM available around the net. *edit: oops... just noticed that there ARE some ROMs available on the XDA already... however, it seems flashing Tab is quite a hassle work and more complicated than flashing G1 (arr.. guess I need to re-learn everything again since G1 flashing was kinda easy compared to this and I nearly forgot everything already... |
