Well, if you use registered post or pos laju, items that are lost is quite minimal. For me, it would normally be bear buyers. You need to show them the proof of sending item.

For spoilt items, it will be bear by seller. As items spoilt during transit will normally bear by seller because the seller did not packed the item properly. Buyers need to show proof though (pictures)

You have to state all these before entering into the transaction.
