Hi, been using Poslaju or registered mail more for tracking purpose BUT wondering if items got lost/spoilt,
who is responsible and how dispute is handled as obviously it's not the seller's fault also??

I use registered for safety but realized if things are really lost, will the buyer care the seller actually mail the item.. Maybe someone can clarify what is fair settlement. Buyer/seller total lost? Share the lost 1/2?

It makes me realized for light items, it may make sense to just send normal post if seller not willing to pay postage or it's a bad idea? It is big savings in long run especially for light items.

Appreciate everyone's input or experiences. Thanks.

True true.. My question is more what if it really happens?
Even with registered or Poslaju unless buy insurance, who bears the loss?
Usually people will say OK until things happen then vmad.gif
Any experience buyers/sellers comment??

Use Poslaju and buy insurance... so Pos bare the responsibility.

Normal Poslaju will cover up to RM300 of item lost but make sure you declare the right item.

That is an option for big items but usually who pays? Eg, you ask buyer if he wants or not or share half?
I think registered is also still good to have to protect seller/sender's side as if tracking shows it's delivered and signed then buyer cannot say not received..

My original question still unanswered. If normal buy/sell which I've done a few all items arrived BUT my worry is what if, then HOW?? hmm.gif

Another scenario which just happenned to me. 2 registered parcels returned saying sudah pindah/tidak di tuntut and buyer obviously still at address & state didn't receive.. I'm taking a bite resending but can complaint to Pos Malaysia as their fault as address obviously there???
Postage & shipping really not cheap and also all the envelopes, containers & wrappers all hidden overhead cost.. cry.gif
